TRUMP: Romney was begging so much I could've said, 'Mitt, drop to your knees'

Apparently, you defend the low life and like that he is rude and crude. I would rather have a statesmen and a person with some decorum representing our country.

You mean like how liberals defended and are still defending Bill; for sticking a cigar into the vagina of someone young enough to be his daughter, in the Oval Office?
Or maybe when he "completed" his desire, in the SINK OF THE BATHROOM OF THE OVAL OFFICE.
Or when he pulled out and spuged all over a particular blue dress. :palm:

I happen to not be a fan of Trump's ventures into third grade level crudeness. The low point in last nights debate was the bit with the hands. But you're reaching with his comment about getting on your knees...to beg lol.

And before you get on your high horse, actually, you don't have one to get on. Unless you've castigated Hillary for lying and I missed it. Lying is worse, especially when human lives are at stake.

I feel sort of old-fashioned saying this, but he's an unbelievably crude man. That aspect of him is a tiny portion of what I find objectionable to his candidacy, but it is there - the idea that the POTUS, the man who represents us all, will be this sort of juvenile & vulgar person. It's just embarrassing, more than anything.

For dirty minds it does.....

Explain away this one, bravs.

(CNN)Donald Trump assured American voters Thursday night that despite what Marco Rubio had suggested, there was "no problem" with the size of his hands -- or anything else.

"Look at those hands, are they small hands?" the front-runner for the GOP presidential nomination said, raising them for viewers to see. "And, he referred to my hands -- 'if they're small, something else must be small.' I guarantee you there's no problem. I guarantee."

In a way, the campaign has been kind of a depressing revelation, though it's something we all kind of know.

I like to think that incredibly successful businesspeople are there because of their intelligence & work ethic. And I know that this IS the case for many who excel in business. But Trump - who in many ways is America's ultimate business icon - is nothing more than a 2-bit con man. His strength is knowing how to manipulate & fool people.

He's a branding and marketing genius. That's his strength. When people hear Trump they think luxury and success. He built that brand. So while most politicians try to downplay their wealth Trump exaggerates his because it plays into the perception of him.

He's sort of a magician that way. I agree w/ what you stated, but it seems impossible that such a crude and (by my perception) low-class individual can effectively market high-class kinds of visions.

And it all seems so simplistic. He uses the same 6-7 adjectives to describe things that he is marketing or selling. Like his campaign, he never really goes into specifics - just how things are the best, or huge, or amazing. And it works, both in business and politics.

It seems like an easy formula, but I don't think it would work for everyone. You have to be a con man in the truest sense of that expression - which is confidence man. He presents his hyperbole with such confidence & belief, it literally seems to mesmerize others into believing it too.

Tamara Hall made a great point on the Today Show today, no wonder people are sick of politics, first Rubio, Cruz and Kasich are telling people that Trump will ruin the world, that he is dangerous and his ideas won't work, then they ALL turn around and say they will support him if he is the nominee!

Its crazy!

No doubt there are very very few like him and he does have con man qualities to him. We've all heard the story of the wife who walks in on her husband cheating and the husband denies it saying 'who are you going to believe, your eyes or your husband?' Trump could do that and get away with it. He sells with a conviction like you mentioned.

He wrote in his book about making outlandish statements. Look at his first press conference announcing his candidacy. He didn't say we need to keep illegals out because they are driving down American workers wages. No, he said his sending criminal and rapists line. He knew that would get attention. He knew that would separate him from other candidates. From that perspective he's clearly good at what he does.
