feb 27 2016 RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — A court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a man to 10 years in prison and 2,000 lashes for expressing his atheism in hundreds of Twitter posts.

Al-Watan online daily said Saturday that religious police in charge of monitoring social networks found more than 600 tweets denying the existence of God, ridiculing Quranic verses, accusing all prophets of lies and saying their teachings fueled hostilities.

It says the 28-year-old man admitted to being an atheist and refused to repent, saying that what he wrote reflected his own beliefs and that he had the right to express them. The report did not name the man.

We should be more worried by the CIA, NSA, MOSSAD, MI6 and the Shin Bet than anything that goes on outside of Western influence. It's part of their job, however, to direct our attentions outwards.
 
Saudi is a theocratic monarchy. That's the kind of crap that happens in religious societies all the time. American christians would do exactly the same if they thought they could get by with it.

I don't know that Obama hates the US, or maybe he does. I don't know because I can't read his mind. But Obama is a leftist and do know the left is dreadfully naive on some issues. Obama recently stated that the world has 'universal values' or some rubbish that is demonstrably untrue. Values like democracy, free speech, freedom of religion and the like are 'universal' only in the west. In most other places, brute force is in effect.

This naïveté about the broader world, coupled with a slave-like devotion to political correctness prevents the left from recognizing barbarism; or when it can no longer be ignored, it has to be compared with something the west has been guilty of in the past [or what Christians would be doing now if only they had the chance lol!] as if this somehow mitigates barbarism in the present.

Obama's 'high horse' speech after the Paris attacks was a case in point. Their responses are pretty predictable once you grasp their mindset. And it would be merely amusing except for the fact the west is pretty much run by Chamberlains these days.

We'll be lucky if we survive them.
