What!
I don't blame him though
I'm sure he's like me and has deduction and shelters more than the average joes income total.

Among the many reasons he doesn't want to release his returns is he's not worth nearly as much as he claims. (The man is still a billionaire however)

A billion is more than he, his kids, and his grand kids could ever reasonably spend.
Plenty billionaire inflate their net worth, it probably helps in deals to have more power.
One of the Saudi Princes does it all the time

Exactly. Where as Romney tried to play down his wealth for the campaign Trump tries to overinflate his because he thinks it makes him look more powerful, a better businessman and even less need to rely on others for campaign money.

Actually considering a large chunk of his money is tied up in several high profile New York buildings he could lose a lot of his net worth in a major market downturn. He's been billions in debt before.

I don't see why any person should make public his tax returns unless the IRS actually finds irregularities in an audit....otherwise, personal tax returns are and always have been private.

He's should take every last dollar he can get for his campaign

Interesting thing about Trump when you compare him to Romney, is that he is not going to get hooked up into a 48% like statement like Romney did.

If Trump wanted to, he would simply make the statement out in the open and nobody would care, what people did not like about Romney's 48% remark was that it was very inconsistent with the image he was portraying to the general public. He was one person behind the curtain and another in front of the curtain. Trump can be an idiot sometimes, but he does not hide it, he lets it flow, and that serves him well. Voters are more forgiving of the things he says because they know its off the cuff and likely not focused grouped.

Remember the effect refusing to release his tax returns had on Romney?

I remember a certain Dem. Senator, on the Senate floor, accuse him of not paying any taxes for ten years....which was of course a total lie....and when
it was brought up in an interview on tv, Reid had the balls to say, "well, he didn't win did he"......
Thats about as deep in the gutter I've seen a man go in decades.....

While I don't condone that type of campaigning, I like to see Republicans hoisted on their own petard.
