if your point was to hold firearm manufacturers everywhere responsible for the deaths of innocents, then you can start by denying them the ability to sell to government agencies and police departments. that should start reducing the deaths of innocents. when that proves successful, then we can talk about further reforms.

No, I believe that some officers of these agencies and departments are permitted to kill under certain circumstances concerning the nature of their employment. You didn't know that ? Such persons would require lethal weapons and certain manufacturers would be required to provide them.

Using a gun to kill is not a 'misuse' of the lethal weapon. That's what it was manufactured to do and that was its manufacturer's intent and it is inherent in its design.

EDIT; Having just read the article linked in the OP it's my opinion that the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) should be struck down. That's the Democrat Party's intent, I believe. If not then it should be- and given the highest priority.
