When those families can provide a video of a gun growing arms/legs, loading itself, and shooting itself, yes. Until then, no and that those who made the guns are responsible is foolish.

In a sane country, yes.
The guns used in this crime were constructed for the purpose of killing. They were not bookends, paperweights or ballast. Their only purpose was to kill.
The notion that they were only intended to scare does not run as they only scare because they were constructed in order to kill.
So the manufacturer produced the guns knowing what their purpose was and took no action to prevent them being used for that purpose. The courts of a sane country would hold that manufacturer accountable.

Of course it didn't malfunction, Fraud- it killed. That was its purpose. The user was simply manifesting its implied purpose.
These are just secondary applications of lethal weapons. If you want to claim that these are their primary uses then you'll have to have the designation ' lethal weapon ' removed. Good luck, Fraud.

Yes those manufacturers did. They made those guns without the ability to grow arms/legs, load by itself, and shoot by itself. Unless you can show me where one has done all three of those things, it's the PERSON misusing it that is the problem.
