Political correctness is killing comedy, says John Cleese

cancel2 2022

Canceled
He is absolutely spot on, thank God there are still some brave enough to tell the truth.

  • Cleese speaks out on Big Think video about effect of political correctness
  • Says can no longer perform at universities as any criticism seen as 'cruel'
  • Claims those who can't control emotions want to control others' behaviour
  • Says loss of humour will lead to dystopian police state, like Orwell novel
John Cleese says that political correctness and fear of offending could lead to a 1984-style society. The Monty Python star said he has now been advised not to perform on university campuses as the idea of political correctness has expanded so far that any kind of criticism is now seen as 'cruel'. Veteran comic Cleese said it is down to people who cannot control their emotions, so seek to control others, and worries that it could lead to a society like that in the iconic dystopian Orwell Novel.

bill maher is not a left wing god you fool.

He started out as a LIBERTARIAN

he actually kind of a douche

Chris Rock and Seinfield have said the same thing about college campuses which is why they won't do shows there anymore

You didn't like him saying that "Islam is a religion of peace, because there is a piece of you over there and a piece of you over there"! There are just too many miserable bastards spouting off about their particular -isms.

I don't like him endorsing dangerous quacks who claim to cure AIDS. He is an irrational person.

I've got this idea for a comedy sketch;

It's 2050 in the Middle East ( 3025 elsewhere ) and there's this community of millionaire and billionaire Arabs living in the center of the Gaza rubble desert.
They've got a sort of force-field or something that protects them from the neoZionists' indiscriminate white phosphorous, bombs and death-ray attacks and it also blinds passing satellites so that no-one knows they are there.
Oh, except for some Wall Street journalists, a pro-Zionist fake Arab newspaper sponsor and- of course- the hero.
Now, one day the hero just happens to be threading his way through the depleted uranium belt on his unicycle when.........

You are truly a deluded, devious dickhead, I knows you think that Gaza is just one great pile of rubble but the truth as always is far more complex.

The Arab world and Leftists would have you believe Gaza is a living hell, with every commodity and necessity of life absent.

Gaza
Park 2012

Peter Hitchens in the Mail Online writes:

”It is lunchtime in the world’s biggest prison camp, and I am enjoying a rather good café latte in an elegant beachfront cafe. Later I will visit the sparkling new Gaza Mall, and then eat an excellent beef stroganoff in an elegant restaurant. “

This piece started out as a ‘sort of’ fun-cum-sarcastic piece being aware of the quantity of 5-star hotels, the nightclubs, shopping malls, restaurants and more in Gaza. However, as I searched for images and information, I came across a whole other side of Gaza which I don’t think many people know exists.

Gaza
City

Roots Club is an up-market restaurant and catering company in Gaza. Critics said at its opening they expect the restaurant to bring “a new era of hospitality and dining experience.”

The club is located on Cairo Street in the Gaza district of Rimal. It features three different dining venues, the informal, outdoor Green Terrace Café, the Ambassador catering hall and the air-conditioned Roots Restaurant. One restaurant reviewer described the atmosphere as “vaguely reminiscent of the Anglo-Indian country-clubs of the colonial era.”

Roots Hotel overlooking Gaza Beach. 9th Feb 2014 A reviewer called the menu, which features twelve different meat dishes, chicken prepared thirteen different ways, and eight pasta preparations in addition to an array of salads, appetizers, desserts, and nine kinds of soup served “only in winter,” truly staggering.
Lonely Planet calls the Roots Club, “the best” restaurant in Gaza.

Hasbara. I once saw a photo of the Chinese ' Bejing Water Cube ' complex posted as a central Gazan swimming pool. I think it was drawn from the laughingly-named ' Palestinian water parks ' site that you're dredging now. Not quite as funny as your ' six hundred Arab millionaires and billionaires live in Gaza ' delusion.

Satellite images released by the United Nations show how a section of Shijaia neighbourhood in Gaza City has been razed by attacks since 8 July.

Israel bombs UN agency headquarters in Gaza City

Sami Mushasha: The UNRWA headquarters are in the al-Rimal district in the center of Gaza City. The location is well known to the Israeli authorities as is the fact that they enjoy UN immunity. The damage is great. Although we do not know the exact extent yet, we have lost many trucks, cars and food aid supplies.

You should spend some time in Rimal, Fool.
