Well what can you do about it? The great Pacific Garbage Patch, which is actually two, is a huge area of plastic waste. However it is important to point out that most of the Pacific is actually a marine desert, contrary to the general belief that it is teeming with life. The biggest problem to my mind is Asia, where just about everything seems to come with a plastic bag.
