I thought the end of the Conservative party would look different.

I often wondered if the Conservatives would lose their position as one of the two leading ideologies in American politics and governance. When they so badly needed the evangelicals to continue to have a coalition that could garner enough support to attain office I figured their days were numbered.

Their fierce opposition toward President Obama regardless of his stance coupled with dogmatic clinging to principal over compromise has led them to a place where they are on the cusps of nominating a decidedly non-conservative, progressive, populist, nationalistic, reality television star as their nominee for president.

I had expected the end for Conservatives to be more gradual, with a series of nominations of radical conservatives who lost the national election in a series of increasingly big landslides. I never figured the party itself would implode into a situation where Trump is trouncing the true Conservatives. The Democrats are going to nominate HRC who is, arguably significantly more conservative on many issues than Trump.

On one hand I think it will be good for our nation, no more Conservative turns that keep us rooted in a 1950's ideology. On the other hand, the Republican party will remain strong, and will be promoting the more dangerous nationalistic and xenophobic than the Conservative party they once were. The worst of the Republican party will survive, but that's okay, as long as they don't start winning.

There is no liberal party.

The Libertarian party is the closest to a liberal party. The Democrat party is the furthest from being liberal, they are authoritarian leftists. The Republicans are pretty close to the Democrats on the authoritarian leftist end of the spectrum

The Democratic party embraces some liberal ideals. HRC is not really a liberal, except on some politically expedient social issues. I suspect she would appoint liberals to the Supreme Court. If the Libertarian's would adopt socially libertarian ideas they would be more liberal than the Democrats, in my opinion. Their general position on Abortion is however very conservative. The modern libertarian movement is being used as a shill for Corporate interests.

HRC isn't liberal at all. How are the Democrats liberal? They're solidly behind using government guns to force their decisions on us like the Republicans are.

I don't know what you're talking about with libertarians and socially liberal ideas, how are libertarians not socially liberal?

And you're full of shit on libertarianism. Free markets are the opposite of corporate interests, you don't know what you're talking about.

Abortion.

A free market is a wealthy corporations wet dream, free to manipulate the market to prevent competition.

So you posted that to make sure we realized you had nothing in regard to the points and questions? Thanks for clarifying that

Just pointing out that everything you say as though it were fact, is purely your opinion.
Corporatist.
