If you're referring to his foundation, of course a positive. He's using the money globally "to enhance healthcare and reduce extreme poverty..." and that's commendable. Bill Gates is only one person. How many of the other 62 are doing what he's doing? My opinion is that it would be better for impoverished societies if more money was in them at the grass roots level such as higher wages and better access to products and services. I get solicitations to help people in third world countries by buying them a farm animal, buying their goods or helping support their children. IMO it would be better to have entire villages' standards of living raised directly rather than depending on the generosity of those on mailing lists.
