He's still running for President right? Talk about a guy who gets zero discussion and he's in third place. (granted third place in this instance is last place and he needs to injure his neck looking upwards to see second)

Oh you mean the other guy they picked so it looked like a primary and not a coronation?
 
he's a good governor. I like his ideas of metrics governing. I's a good way to reach into the bureaucrats.
More effective then "top down management."

His zero tolerance mayor of Baltimore was not so good .I had a big discussion about this( Baltimore is my home town) -
with BAC and a few other about this. The bottom line is way too many arrests destroyed community policing..
It was so bad it was racist -though I don't believe that was his intent.."the road to hell is paved with good intentions"

I liked some of his ideas, but he had some Draconian policies as mayor. I didn't know much about him initially, but read up after the debate.

I give him credit for trying to stop the killing fields of the Baltimore streets - almost all driven by drug crime.
He did succeed to an extent. But zero tolerance has much too much "blowback" -at one point like 1/3 of the city was arrested in 1 year.

The true answer is drug policy changes -legalize and tax it - but also better economic opportunities,
like a lot of old cities need.
