Trump believes in Gun Control!

Ive seen more than a few attacks on the President on Facebook for his position on Gun Control...

Many from Trump supporters...

I just wanted to post this quote from Trumps book, The America we Deserve.

"...I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s internet technology we should be able to tell within 72 hours if a potential gun owner has a record.”

I wish I could understand this cultish devotion to Trump that reminds me of a teenager in the middle of a first crush who holds an idolized view of a tragedy flawed person.

I actually agree with his political positions on a a suprising few things, not as many as I agree with Sanders on.

Its his personality that I have a problem with. I don't want someone so thin skinned and with such a propensity toward authoritarianism to have as much power as the presidnecy allows.

I also find his forign policy agenda to be akin to that of GWB and believe it will harm our fight against the terrorists.

Going Bush on them would mean troops on the ground and an actual war and I haven't seen where Trump advocates that. If we don't bomb them, what do we do? Nothing?

Doing nothing would be going Sanders on them.

That's my point lol. There's no good reason why Democrats [especially the non-hardcore leftists] shouldn't go with Trump over Hillary. Once you get past the Big R in front of his name.

A man can support your issues and possess poor character. This was certainly true of Nixon for many people. Hamilton and Jefferson were some classic examples, with Jefferson's hypocrisy, Hamilton's excessiveness, and both of them being major demagogues.

If the base went with another establishment candidate, they'd be really dumb. But not quite as dumb as the people who voted for Obama twice.

Look in he mirror and simply remember your cultish devotion to Obama and you will not only understand it, but empathise with it.
