Militia takes over federal building in Oregon

Who did the Oregon peaceful protesters shoot with their firearms, shit-for-brains?

They are being very peaceful.

They are merely "armed", which is legal in this country, dipshit.

They broke into and entered a federal building... They should expect arrest...
Wouldn't you Princess?

In Florida, armed trespassing is a felony. Regular trespass is a misdemeanor.

How did they get in, breaking and entering?

Actually this constitutes burglary. These guys would be facing 20 to life each in Florida.

So as long as the state maintains the calculus of violence in their favor, then it's A OK? No.
Maybe in never never militia land but here in civilization Ya'llQaeda's act of YeeHawd is simple thuggery and common criminal activity.

The only reason that there hasn't been any Federal action is the place is remote there are more mule deer than people and they figure Ya'llQaeda collective moron asses will get cold tired and hungry and will go home before someone gets hurt.

Burglary
Home invasions and other burglaries are seen as very serious crimes. Not only do the laws of Oregon treat these crimes as such, but so do the prosecutors of the state and the cops. If you are arrested or under investigation for an offense like this, you will be treated like a criminal.

Whether you’ve never been to jail or if you have a lengthy criminal history, the prospect of facing prison time doesn’t get any easier. Fortunately, a criminal charge and a criminal conviction are vastly different.

If you are accused of burglary, you need someone on your side advocating for your best interests and working to protect your rights.

Oregon Burglary Laws and Penalties

There are a few different burglary laws in Oregon. The charge you face depends on the facts of your case and the evidence that the prosecutor has against you. Your attorney can help you figure out why you are facing the charge you are and if there is any chance that the charge could be reduced.

Under Oregon law, burglary is defined as: entering or remaining unlawfully in a building with the intent to commit a crime therein. This crime does not have to be a theft, though that’s what most people commonly think of when they think of burglary.

Burglary in the Second Degree

If you commit burglary, as defined above, you will be charged with 2nd degree burglary. This offense is a Class C Felony and carries a potential 5 year prison sentence and $125,000 in fines.

Burglary in the First Degree

If you are accused of committing a burglary where the building in question is a dwelling/home, you could face this charge. Similarly, if you commit a burglary and any of the following are true, you could be charged with 1st degree burglary:

You are armed with a burglary tool or a deadly weapon,
You cause or attempt to cause physical injury to someone, or
You use or threaten to use a dangerous weapon.
First degree burglary is classified as a Class A Felony, which carries up to 20 years in prison and $375,000 in fines.

Possession of Burglary Tools

Certain tools, often used in the commission of burglary offenses, are illegal to possess. These tools might be used to gain entry into a secure facility by breaking locks, burning through steel or concrete, or in other ways facilitating a forcible entry.

If you are accused of possessing any tools of this nature with the intent to use it to break and enter or if you possess it and know that someone else has the intent to use it in such a manner, you could face this Class A Misdemeanor charge and up to 1 year in prison and $6250 in fines.

All burglary crimes are serious and a conviction should be avoided whenever possible. If you are accused of burglary and are in need of assistance, contact our offices today for a consultation.

Yes, cause they have been sanctioned to protect and preserve the public peace from common criminals by both the rule of law and due process of law. Something Ya'llQaeda seems to hold in contempt. They rather resort to YeeHawd.

So far the only thing separating Ya'allQaeda from Al Qaeda is they have not actually committed violence. That just makes them common criminals instead of domestic terrorist.

Do you have pictures of these armed folks?

Or is this like "hands up don't shoot"?

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The group includes Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s three sons including Ammon Bundy, who appears to be the leader of the group. In a Facebook video posted on Saturday, Ammon appears to be standing at the scene of the takeover, surrounded by several men in military-style uniforms with rifles and hand-held radios.

Here's what we are dealing with ...
Not a "peaceful protest" to free some poaching arsonists...

Saturday night, a group of armed militants broke into and occupied a federal building near Burns, Oregon, declaring their intent to break free of the “tyranny” of the U.S. government and encouraging likeminded folks from around the country to “bring your arms” and join the movement.

The occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, which was closed for the weekend but serves as the remote headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Land Management, followed a protest that included roughly 300 marchers, according to The Oregonian. The protestors took issue with the prosecution of two local ranchers, Dwight Hammond Jr. and his son Steven, who are due to report to jail Monday for igniting fires that spread to government lands (the two reportedly set the fires in the early aughts to cover up illegal deer-poaching on government property).

In a video posted to Facebook, the militants’ apparent de facto leader Ammon Bundy—the son of “prominent local rancher” Cliven Bundy (who’s tussled with the government before)—explains that both the protest and the hostile takeover were designed to intimidate the federal government into releasing the Hammonds and giving up rights to the Malheur land so that it might be a “base place for patriots all over the country to come and be housed and live here.”

“We’re planning on staying here for several years,” Bundy added. “We’re going to be bringing these lands up, getting the ranchers back to ranching, the miners back to mining, the loggers back to logging, under the protection of the people and not be afraid of the tyranny that’s upon them…We’re doing this for the people, so they can have their land and resources back where they belong…We have a place for you now. “

Bundy concluded his impromptu speech by encouraging fellow would-be separatists to come to Malheur with firearms in tow: “We need you to bring your arms.” It was a sentiment echoed by another local man in the same video, who compared the government to “high-school bullies” who had to be put in their place. “The country has beat us and oppressed us and took everything from us,” he said. “They won’t stop till you tell them no.” Others still told local reporters that they’d “kill and be killed” for the cause.

The local sheriff knows what's going on there...
It isn't a peaceful protest to reduce someone's sentence...

Harney County Sheriff David M. Ward said authorities from several law enforcement organizations were monitoring the ongoing incident.

“These men came to Harney County claiming to be part of militia groups supporting local ranchers,” Ward said in a statement Sunday. “When in reality these men had alternative motives, to attempt to overthrow the county and federal government in hopes to spark a movement across the United States.”

It is when you occupy a building illegally, keep people from going to work and from their livelihood. When you disrupt society and most likely threaten violence on those who try to enter the building, that is domestic terrorism.

cops commit domestic terrorism every single day in the same fashion, where is your outrage over that?

Nope

(B)appear to be intended—(i)to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;

(ii)to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or

(iii)to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and

(C)occur primarily outside the territorial jurisdiction of the United States, or transcend national boundaries in terms of the means by which they are accomplished, the persons they appear intended to intimidate or coerce, or the locale in which their perpetrators operate or seek asylum;

so you agree with the governments definition of waterboarding as not being torture then, correct?

It is sad, a lot of the young men tweeting are saying good bye and feeling like they are going to die joining this cause.

They are as seriously goofy as the girls who joined ISIS.
