dec 23 2015 Donald J. Trump is still coming under fire from Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the media, including National Public Radio (NPR), for using the term “schlonged” to describe her defeat in the 2008 Democratic presidential primary.

Trump insists that the term is not vulgar, and merely describes “beaten badly.”

Certainly that is the way NPR itself used the term in 2011, in a discussion with political reported Chris Cilizza of the Washington Post.

Talk of the Nation host Neal Conan was discussing the recent passing of Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman to be nominated for Vice President. Apparently, Cilizza did not object to the term “schlonged,” nor did NPR’s Mara Liasson:

CONAN: And Chris Cillizza, that ticket went on to get schlonged(ph) at the polls, but that’s a historic moment.

Mr. CILLIZZA: Absolutely historic moment, Neal, but as you point out, lost 49 states.

I read that today. I wonder if Hillary will use this to make money. Maybe WA Post should put Hillary's grandchild coming out of her pantsuit as a giant schlong? In cartoon caricature of course.

The use a that certain word, “schlonged” is the only word in question....

Interesting....so is Conan implying his use of the word meant something else and all this time he was hiding under a veneer of respectability....?

No, that can't be because Mr. CILLIZZA replyed "Absolutely historic moment, Neal, but as you point out, lost 49 states." so he knew exactly what was meant....

obviously, the word needs no veneer of respectability.... if its already a respectable word....

Soooooo....what the hell is two-faced Conan trying to say....

I've recently heard commentators on CNN, FOX, and NBC say....so and so got screwed or the public is getting screwed, or this guy is screwed.....

wonder what definition is being applied to the word 'screwed'.....surely nothing nasty, I hope....

If you had actually read the article you'd realize he was being sarcastic and taking a swipe at Trump.

Oh, we understand his attempt at sarcasm...its just that it don't work....hes the one that used the word before Trump, and then implies when used by Trump its means
something dirty but fails to admit the same when he used it.....and like many words, we Americans have words that can be used with a variety of nuances....
Just like I hear people use the word "screwed"...it too can be used in a lot of ways....
The fact that this Mr. Cillizza knew exactly what it as to describe, a big loss.
 
Think of it as "hosed"... In the Navy we used the word to mean just "messed up" all the way to "f*cked beyond all measure" or a lower form of FUBAR...

It's just slang, I gave the language and meaning of it in an earlier thread. Trying to make use of a slang word like Schlong as some serious point is a place of absurdity that most won't walk.

Most words have multiple meanings and that's esp true with slang. The controlled media really F'ed up here and exposed how they are desperate to find something to attack trump with.
