Now I remember. So what about Trump saying it too?
Well... trump saying it to shows precisely how moronic you should feel for saying the same thing.

I have a problem with all the gun violence in this country that gets a pass. Now people will say they don't give gun violence a pass, yet they have no proposals on how to stop it. Being arrested and charged is all well and good, but I'm sure it's cold comfort to the family and friends of the victims.
We're supposed to be a civilized nation and a world leader yet we can't check gun violence like other major countries.
"The dubious distinction of having the most gun violence goes to Honduras, at 68.43 homicides by firearm per 100,000 people, even though it only has 6.2 firearms per 100 people. Other parts of South America and South Africa also rank highly, while the United States is somewhere near the mid-range. Still, America sees far more gun violence than countries in Europe, and Canada, India and Australia, which is perhaps how it gets its bloody reputation among comparatively peaceful nations.
When a person kills another in the United States, though, he or she generally uses a gun: 60 percent of U.S. homicides occur using a firearm, which is the 26th-highest rate in the world. (In other gun-permeated countries, such as Finland (45.3 guns per 100 people), only about 19 percent of homicides involve a firearm.
Guns don't always kill people, it seems, but they certainly play a role."

Funny... many idiots on the left ALSO stated that we should disarm those on the no fly list. It was the conservatives on this board that told them how moronic it is to violate a persons rights without due process.
Refresh my memory with a cite where I said it.
how about Canada?
they have a shit load of guns
why don't they have the same gun death level
Another sicko who shouldn't have been anywhere near a firearm

This is what our country has devolved into. A place where any drunken redneck can drive down the road blowing people away for no reason whatever. You’re sitting with your wife one minute and the next your dead. This is what the NRA wants for our country where everyone lives in the wild wild west blowing one another away.
Liberals love saying that as if you're making some sort of point that supports your position. Saying that is a complete zero. What would be useful would be an actual plan. I mean one that would work. Not the normal stupid one that says let's pretend that a law will keep sickos from getting any of the 300 million guns in the country and hundreds of millions more in the rest of the world.
So you got some actual content, or you going with the usual empty leftist rhetoric on the subject?

First of all, you have to accept the fact that people kill people, the method is irrelevant.
Think about this......what do those country's demographics have in common with the US....other than none of them live under the freedoms of the US Bill of Rights.....
Maybe you can answer your own question.
How about if we stop glorifying violence in this country? Stop with the "might makes right." Stop the increasingly violent movies, games and television programs. Stop pretending that the only solution to gun violence is more guns. Stop the gun swaggering. Stop thinking that the only way to end violence is with more violence. Stop idolizing guns and criticizing people who don't have the same opinion of them. Stop letting politicians instill endless amounts of fear about situations that may never occur. Stop thinking we can solve other countries' problems with war. Stop thinking of the 2nd amendment as God's greatest commandment.
What have you got?
I never said that. Hope you feel moronic now.Well... trump saying it to shows precisely how moronic you should feel for saying the same thing.

I'm not trying to be cynical here but violence has been around as long as humans have existed as has essentially war and the quest for power. That's not in any way to suggest we shouldn't aim to make our world a less violent place but it's a part of who we are.
^ So has sex. But we have puritanical attitudes about it while we love and are fascinated by violence.
Several years ago there was such an uproar about Janet Jackson's one second nip slip that CBS got fined half a million dollars. Yet violence gets a yawn. I hate that.
