Bigots go bonkers after Muslim judge swears oath on Koran instead of Bible

As long as she adheres to her vow to uphold the U.S. Constitution and the Constitution of the State of NY why would you even care? Plan on committing a felony?

That's the problem; the Koran is antithetical to the Constitution and common law. Alas, you're a moron who thinks they are consistent with each other.

Ridiculous.

Violence has been done in the name of Christianity since it's inception.

Deuteronomy 13: 12-16 tells us:

12 “If you hear in one of your cities, which the Lord your God is giving you to dwell there, 13 that certain hworthless fellows have gone out among you and have drawn away the inhabitants of their city, saying, ‘Let us go and serve other gods,’ which you have not known, 14 then you shall inquire and make search and ask idiligently. And behold, if it be true and certain that such an abomination has been done among you, 15 you shall surely put the inhabitants of that city to the sword, devoting it to destruction,3 all who are in it and its cattle, with the edge of the sword. 16 You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its open square and jburn the city and all its spoil with fire, as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. It shall be a kheap forever. It shall not be built again.

V-I-O-L-E-N-C-E.

The Bible commands you to KILL the unbeliever.

In the name of Christianity.

What is even more amazing is that no Christian anywhere in the world follows this kind of crap but something in the Koran similar to this is believed and followed as if its an edict from God.

Some people don't understand that there's a difference between the New and Old Testaments, or why; because it makes them think they can then equate the Bible to the teachings of the Koran.

This kind of thing doesn't really bother me or scare me. Obviously i'd rather this judge swear on a Bible and consider being with Christ but I wouldn't expect this judge to swear on a Bible anymore than that judge would expect me to swear on a Quran since it wouldn't be honest.

The book used is of no consequence...
They could use a comic book in the ceremony...
The "oath" is a legally binding promise.

Doesn't matter a hill of beans. It's just another wag the dog made up controversy.

Actually, Muslims are with Christ. He's considered one of the more important prophets of Islam. They just don't buy into the cathechism or trinity.

Do they buy into virgin moms, zombie blood drinking and talking snakes?
That's where the real skydaddy fun is at!
Just ask Norah.
