Christianity is only tolerable in western society because it's adherents don't actually practice what it preaches.

There is nothing more dangerous to our survival than those that actaully believe in god. To do so means there is one unwavering uncompromising truth. To believe means you can kill and murder anyone that stands in your way and you believe you will actually be rewarded for it. It prevents people improving the life we have on earth because all they are thinking about is the eternity that awaits them. It makes people not give a shit about global climate change because Jesus isn't going to let the world die until he's good and ready. Disaster and strife just means the end times are getting closer.

There is no space for adults to actively believe in myths in the modern world. That is the great danger. All those condemning islam while practicing christianity don't realize they are part of the problem themselves.

They are two distinct religions, Islam and Christianity. There's a reason much of the planet is threatened by radical Islam while radical Christianity barely shows up on the radar. And the reason has everything to do with their respective texts and the doctrines that originate therein.

Also, some of the worst atrocities of the last century occurred when the government became a god of sorts. If you think doing away with religion will solve anything you're sadly mistaken.

It is 2015, and on political messagebaords across the nation, there is actual serious discussion about banning all muslims from america. This discussion exists because a mainstream, leading presidential candidate for one of the major parties has this as part of his platform.

It's hysterical and comical, but it should also be a reminder that the things we think of as ancient history, like fascism, internment camps...government abuse and tyranny... it's never far away.

Let this really sink in the next time you mock those that wish to protect themselves from government at all costs. Given the means and opportunity, we can easily fall into corruption and a dystopian nightmare.

I must disagree. halting the flow of all immigrants, at this time is the only sane, sensible, rational,reasonable, lawful, diligent, duty of a u.s. pres. could take at this time 12/10/2015. the problem is that the chief executive of the u.s. gov. is a treacherous, islamist jihadist and the children of this land [up to age 70] are brainwashed and neutered into a politically correct, self induced coma.

the christians had the crusades and the inquisition among other things. Much of the KKK and all the southern terror was and is heavily rooted in religiosity. Talk to a black guy from the south in the 1920's how religious christian baptist society worked out for them.

That said, you are right that islam is the most violent TODAY, (50% of all muslims believe you should be killed if you leave the faith). However that is mostly a result of the fact that chrisitians don't actually believe in god anymore. It's a way to feel good about themselves and have a social structure.

Deep down, most western grown adults don't actually believe in god. They may profess to, they may even on the surface THINK that they do, but they really don't.

And lest we forget, there's an opposite side to this.

Ancient history also speaks of societies and cultures that were destroyed by the very groups they tried to help.
All that was needed, was that they be given the means and opportunity.

What's frustrating is that "pendulum" swings to the limits of the left and the limits of the right; but what's needed, is for it to come to rest in the middle.
 
I want to throw something into this mix.

After months of some JPP posters denigrating Christianity and Christians in general; what do you think the reaction would be from believers in Islam, if you would have directed the same comment to them?

Christians seem, for the most part, to be willing to accept that you choose not to believe and they continue on; but Islam has shown us that voicing such distain for the Koran, could result in your being stoned to death, beheaded, burnt alive, tortured with a cattle prod, thrown from a roof, etc.
 
christians accept that because most don't actually believe in their religion anymore, as I have been saying. There was a time where you would be burned at the stake or exiled or any number of things if you went against christianity. It's not the religion, it's the times that we live in. Islam is still stuck in the stone ages, mostly because they live in garbage poor as shit countries made of sand.

Watch how quickly dubai will lose their religion when they no longer need god as a crutch for their shitty lives.
