Oops. So much for the RW claims that PP was just a random location this nutcase stumbled over on his way to rob a bank, or something.

"The man accused of shooting three people to death and wounding nine others at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado last month declared himself guilty and a "warrior for the babies" during an outburst in court on Wednesday. The disturbance, as prosecutors formally presented murder and other charges against Robert Lewis Dear, 57, bolstered assertions by Planned Parenthood executives that the attack on the Colorado Springs clinic was motivated by anti-abortion sentiments.

Dear has been held without bond since surrendering to police at the end of a five-hour siege on Nov. 27 that authorities said began when he opened fire with a rifle in front of the clinic, then stormed inside...

"I’m guilty, there’s no trial. I'm a warrior for the babies," Dear blurted out in a loud voice while seated beside his lawyers in front of the judge.

Addressing the judge, defense attorney Dan King raised the issue of Dear's mental competency to stand trial, saying, "I think the problem is obvious."

The man is no lunatic. He planned what he intended to do and he did it. That's pre-meditated by any definition, nuts or not. I'm convinced he will pass a mental competency test. He truly believed what he was doing was the correct thing to do. You and I may agree it's just nuts. Is Donald Trump nuts? Very similar mindset, don't you think?

No, there's a difference between politically incorrect and lunacy.

A lunatic that's paralyzed by lunacy is harmless. We'll see if he's competent enough to stand trial.
 
Trial? What trial? He pled guilty. He did what the prosecutors said he did. There will be additional courtroom wrangling but I don't anticipate any trial in his case.

the courts will decide if this lunatic is sane enough to stand trial....white or black is irrelevant....by normal standards he is insane...by legal standards, probably not...

the shooters in CA. are insane too, by normal standards....by legal standards.....they are not....

I agree, somewhat. The PP shooter has an actual chance of being declared incompetant by the court. The CA shooters, no way. But since they're dead it's academic.

The difference is the PP shooter has some obvious mental issues, and it certainly affected his actions; thats beyond debate. The only question will be if they were severe enough to render him unresponsible for his actions.

In contrast, the CA shooters were acting according to their ideology. Excusing them on the grounds of mental incompetence would be like excusing the Nazis of war crimes on the same grounds.

What's notable is his how desperate the left is to pigeon-hole the PP shooter into their white/right wing boogie man narrative.
