American conservatism did originate in New England. Being settled originally by Puritans will do that to a region. That is why the Federalist Party was rooted there, and probably why there was such a smaller concentration of Loyalists than down south. That is why Cornwallis chose to move the war out of the northeast early in the war. John Adams is iconic as one of that period's leading conservatives.

As for the Virginia Dynasty - it swung both ways. It gave us liberals such as Jefferson and Madison, but it also gave us conservatives, such as Washington, Monroe, and John Marshall.

Well, New England was better than the rest of the nation, and so should have looked down upon it. Boston was the birthplace of the American Revolution. It was Bostonian James Otis who gave us the immortal slogan "there can be no taxation without representation." Adams was a disciple of Otis, and he contributed the treatise Thoughts on Government, the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the three volume work A Defense of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America. Along with the Declaration of Independence and Common Sense, they were some of the most significant contributions to American government, arguing for the need of written constitutions, and laying out a blueprint that was more closely followed in Philadelphia than anything written by Jefferson, Madison, or Paine.

Also, I didn't know that "Yankee" had a hyphen in it. Wouldn't it be easier to just say "American?"

I generally wouldn't call asking someone their opinion about what they would like to see done "slamming" someone. Again, saying the country is too far left is a vague answer. It doesn't state what changes you are looking for nor how you'd like to see it done. Do any political candidates you see offer to take the country in a direction you support?

I have no understanding of how you use the terms left and right. Old school Republicans used to be deficit hawks, not so much today. There are very few true fiscal conservatives in American politics. Some/Many on the right will now argue growth trumps all hence the tax plans that increase the deficit.

Entitlement programs and military spending are a large reason we have the debt we do. But you haven't once addressed those points. I've asked you numerous times if you would like to see S.S. and Medicare reduced or eliminated but you won't answer. Instead you make nonsensical statements like I'm fascinated with the left.

I honestly have no idea what you support economically as you never state your beliefs.

You haven't disputed a single thing I've said on this thread and you're reverting back starting point is always that the country is not too far to the left. You claimed the country is economically right but you cannot explain the 18 trillion dollar debt.
