It's not atheists its religious fundamentalists.

I wonder is the American religious right are surprised that the evil we are facing is not from atheism but from a confused group of religious self proclaimed religious fundamentalists?

I've always maintained that a group who adheres to a false view of God based on what they believe are fundamentalist principals is much more dangerous than those who do not believe in God at all. Looking at the world today, looks like I am correct.

Can you not see the dangers of adherence to Mans interpretation of a fundamentalist religious code, it often leads to mass murder and then extention of the fundy group.
 
How many atheists shot up and killed a bunch of people in the last few years? How many christians shot up and killed a bunch of people in the last few years? The question almost answers itself, doesn't it? Not one word of the bible as it is worshipped today was written by the hand of any god. It was ALL written by some human somewhere with their own thoughts and feelings and beliefs in something they were only told.
 
Meh, pretty much any all ideologies get abused and religions are no exception. For all the ink radical Islam gets, it's death count is a joke compared to the atheistic and fascist ideologues/regimes of the last century.

Unfortunately, with modern technology radical Islam can catch up pretty quick...

There's also the abuse angle. Nazism wasn't abused by Hitler nor was Communism abused by Stalin. Is Islam being abused by its radicals or are they just being faithful to their texts?

Simple-assed reasoning will get you simple-assed answers, Omar. Radical islam has a very long way to go to catch up with radical christians by ANY comparison or definition,,,,,,,,,,if history is your objective.
 
I don't need the indoctrination. Even the juvenile evidence is clear. Just who attacked who and for what reason? Just stick to that. All else is embellishment one way or the other. How much do you know about Royal Arch masonry? There are many books written on it.

Islam attacked Europe and was held at bay by Christendom and the Crusaders played a part in it. You don't believe Islam tried to take Europe? Granted, centuries ago, Christians fought amongst themselves in Europe but that's ancient history in 2015. Right now, maybe even as I type this, some radical Islamic thug some where is terrorizing a non-Muslim or even another Muslim.

And doing it in ways that would be deemed barbaric even by 13th century standards.
 
Were the crusades fought in Europe? That's revisionist history isn't it? Were the crusades purely a religious war? Come on. Answer that.

The middle eastern terrorists abuse Islam in the same way the Crusaders abused Christianity.
 
The political arm of the religious right in America abuses Christianity, but in a different way.
 
Sadly, often but not always, organized religion has been a tool for the wolf to use in an effort to bully the sheep.

It happens in Islam as well as Christianity. In this century thank God, it has not often been used often to turn Christians towards violence.

No one murdered more people than Mao, Stalin and Hitler; all were atheists.

The notion that praying on the altar of man or global warming rather than a much higher being/entity is fodder for morons.

Hitler, who often proclaimed that God was the creator of Germany, was no atheist.
