Well, that's the narrative: Cops have declared open season on young black males. That's the narrative to which all facts must submit.

If it's not impossible for liberals to be objective about any issue regarding race, it's nearly so. One of the facts of the matter is it's impossible to know with any degree of certainty whether the victims race was a factor or not. It's gotten so bad that even entertaining the question can get you labeled a bigot. That all started with the Martin/Zimmerman. Everyone 'knew' Martin's race was a factor and that Zimmerman wouldn't have stalked him otherwise. Lack of evidence be damned. It turns out George Zimmerman is a troubled and trouble prone loose canon who very likely would have stalked a white, brown or purple kid under similar circumstances.

The only inarguable fact-factor in this recent incident was the victims behavior and the consequences that followed. Skin color? Who knows. PCP is a potent derivative of cannibus and if the victim shot it up it's very possible he might have been hallucinating. It would explain the knife. No sane person wields a knife in public unless they feel threatened or they want to appear threatening.

Does that excuse the cops behavior? Absolutely not. But an objective look at the facts doesn't lead to a racial conclusion.

Unless the conclusion is foregone.
