Are other nationalities braver than Americans, or smarter?

Americans are one of the bravest persons on Earth. But they not alone in bravery. Yes it is true that some peoples are not brave. Maybe their country lose war or have no resources to be strong. Such things can change persons and effect a national thinking. Island people are strong and brave, but know they are small peoples on world stage. They see USA and how strong and many feel weak, they not say, but know. Does not mean they are not brave, but it is different.

I cannot explain good. If not makes sense, tell to me and I will try to explain.

Societies are not brave. People are. The American people are no different from any other people in that respect. We have people with tremendous courage and we have yellow bellied gutless cowards who are scared of almost everything. In the U.S. we call such cowards "conservatives".

and we call the rest fools as in fools rush in...
then there is the question of discretion. the english thought those who refused to fight in box formations to be cowards but these more cautious ones thought there as no bravery in suicide and that the goal was to not just win but survive. The english were only interested in th generals surviving.
