The flat tax isn't fair. It affects poor people more than any other economic group.

He says he thinks this is fair, and that fair is good. Everybody pays the same percentage.

Actually I am making my point well. A flat tax does not make us into a "Christian Nation" even if he uses an example from his "book of tales" as you might call it.
I think a flat tax with a table would be relatively fair, so long as there were no deductions.
Say, for the first 50K you pay nothing... for the rest pay 25%... Something like that. But heck... If I say that Christiefan will think I'm trying to make this a Christian nation...
He likes to speak to a specific group. One of the reasons I think he is unelectable. He speaks too slowly... and appeals to only one group very strongly.
It is what the conversation is about. If you can't grasp the current conversation then step aside, otherwise tell us how these people want to make this a "Christian Nation" as Jarod claimed.
I'll still understand if you can't.
Which using his analogy means that if you made no money you pay nothing, not that God would appear in your bathroom during your shower to decree you tax free.

You must be listening selectively to Carson. He's spoken many times on how his faith influenced his politics.
People's faith often influence their decisions. Obama has said his faith influenced him...
It does not mean, as Jarod claimed, that he is trying to make this into a "Christian Nation".
It's the side you took... As I said, you can just step out of that part of the conversation. It will make it so you don't pretend you are too stupid to understand a simple analogy.
My guess is that if you "claim" you make no money when you had they'd come after you like they did with Al Capone. If you make no money you pay nothing because 10% of nothing is... I'll let you figure out the math.
