Carson wants the tax code changed to be like tithing.
And tell me how a flat tax makes you be a Christian... I'll be waiting.

So, he thinks he should be fair. That means it would make us a "Christian Nation"...
You are reaching. Seriously so.
I guess you think poor, weak America couldn't stand up to an attack by Islamists.
Take off the blinders already. You don't need to defend him to the death just because he's conservative.
The flat tax isn't fair. It affects poor people more than any other economic group.
Carson is unelectable.
How so?
Trump.
BTW, your inbox is full.
He said in full: We need a significantly changed taxation system. And the one that I've advocated is based on tithing, because I think God is a pretty fair Guy. And He said, you know, if you give me a tithe, it doesn't matter how much you make. If you've had a bumper crop, you don't owe Me triple tithes. And if you've had no crops at all, you don't owe Me no tithes. So, there must be something inherently fair about that."
It would make us a broke nation. Imagine conservatives (who hate paying taxes anyway) being legally entitled to pay no taxes at all as long as God "tells them" they don't have to.
Carson is unelectable.
LOL... There is nothing in what he said that if "god says you don't have to"...
He says he thinks this is fair, and that fair is good. Everybody pays the same percentage.
Now, tell me again how that makes us a "Christian Nation" and we'll be good. I'll understand if you can't.
Actually I am making my point well. A flat tax does not make us into a "Christian Nation" even if he uses an example from his "book of tales" as you might call it.Take off the blinders already. You don't need to defend him to the death just because he's conservative.

Why does he need to bring God and religion at all into his reasons for a flat tax?
Did I say it would make us a Christian nation?
Link up.
I'll understand if you can't.
Which using his analogy means that if you made no money you pay nothing, not that God would appear in your bathroom during your shower to decree you tax free.He said in full: We need a significantly changed taxation system. I think a flat tax with a table would be relatively fair, so long as there were no deductions.
Say, for the first 50K you pay nothing... for the rest pay 25%... Something like that. But heck... If I say that Christiefan will think I'm trying to make this a Christian nation...
You must be listening selectively to Carson. He's spoken many times on how his faith influenced his politics.
So you want me to prove that something I didn't say is true?
So if I claim I made no money, I don't have to pay taxes, just like God says?
