if a gang rape is being committed and nobody in the crowd stops it, are they as guilty?
Of course.
And?

Of course.
And?
then any cop that doesn't stop an assault on a handcuffed individual is also guilty, thus when no cop arrests another cop in the course of committing a crime, they are just as guilty, just as evil.
I'd agree w/ that basic premise. So, any cop that doesn't stop an assault fits under that category.
I mean - you do realize there is a difference between that, and ALL cops...right?

Journalists Daniel Krieger and Michael Schwirtz wrote for The New York Times 30 April 2014:

An off-duty New York City police officer shot a motorist six times at a stoplight in Westchester County this week, in what an official called a “completely random” attack. ...For reasons that are still not clear, the officer, identified as Brendan Cronin, 27, of Yonkers, pointed a 9 millimeter Glock handgun at another car parked at a stoplight and fired, Chief Benefico said. A person who has been briefed on the matter said that before the shooting Officer Cronin had been drinking alcohol with other officers, who were also off duty. The victim, who the authorities said was a 47-year-old resident of nearby New Rochelle, told investigators that he was sitting in the passenger side of a vehicle when he heard popping sounds and realized he had been shot, Chief Benefico said. The driver of the vehicle, who was not injured, drove the victim to Montefiore Hospital in New Rochelle.
After the shooting, the police said, Officer Cronin drove off. He was stopped a short distance away in New Rochelle by a Pelham police officer.

It has oft been repeated that these are just isolated incidents. But they are happening so often that they can be taken out of the realm of "isolated incidents", and moved to the realm of "reckless endangerment".
The cop committed a crime and was punished...what else do you want?
How many times do you think this shit happens, and no one is there to video tape it?
You know what happened in Canada? The wife of a police officer hit a kid riding his bike at night and killed him and is now suing the parents of the kid she ran over for pain and suffering! Do you fucking believe that? And it seems the cops let her go without a breathalyzer, and didn't allow her to remain at the scene of the crime.
Well golly, according to STY's rationale, since that one police officer's wife committed a crime, well that means that the wives of EVERY SINGLE POLICE OFFICER EVERYWHERE are also guilty.
you're such a moron
Here's two more examples that disprove STY's claim...
"A San Antonio police officer has been arrested for cuffing and raping a 19-year-old woman over the weekend. The felony sexual assault charges are the third known accusation of sexual misconduct against Officer Jackie Len Neal.
Another cop in nearby Houston, was sentenced last year for cuffing and raping a waitress in his patrol car."

No, the moron is the one who attempts to paint every single police officer in America with the same broad brush.

“My message to my troops is if you see anybody carrying a gun on the streets of Milwaukee, we’ll put them on the ground, take the gun away, and then decide whether you have a right to carry it,” promised Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn several years ago after Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen issued a statement recognizing that residents of the state have a right to carry firearms openly.
One of Chief Flynn’s “troops” shot and killed a man yesterday (April 30) after beating the victim with a baton for refusing a pat-down. The victim, who appears to have been homeless, was already on the ground when the emissary of the Milwaukee PD arrived. Bear in mind that Flynn’s department is among the most corrupt and abusive in the country, and that other “troops” under Flynn’s command have conducted “pat-down” searches that escalated to strip-searches and digital invasions of intimate anatomy by the officers. Any resident of Milwaukee who encounters a cop has a rational fear of sexual assault, which makes resisting a pat-down an act of reasonable self-defense.
When the victim of yesterday’s shooting refused to be battered by the armed stranger, the assailant withdrew a baton called an “asp” – which is regarded as a “non-lethal” impact weapon when wielded by a member of the state’s punitive priesthood – and began to beat the homeless man. In describing this act of unwarranted violence, Flynn said that his subordinate was “defending himself.”
The impudent Mundane, not understanding that he has an unqualified obligation to accept whatever violence his uniformed overseer chooses to inflict on him, confiscated the weapon and used it to ward of the attacker. The officer pulled his gun and “fired several shots at the individual, striking him numerous times and ultimately causing his death,” Flynn recounted. The Chief engaged in a tortured circumlocution in order to avoid using the phrase, “The officer killed the man.”
Like tasers, police batons are imbued with curious properties that make them “non-lethal” instruments when used by cops to electrocute or beat a helpless person to death – but that transform them into “lethal weapons” when they wind up in the unconsecrated hands of Mundanes.
like someone who paints all gun carriers as having small penises? or lacking in courage and manhood?
your obtuseness is apparent. what do you think would happen if these two were NOT arrested?
