How to Fix Sky-high CEO Pay in Companies that Pay Workers Like Serfs

Hmmm, no. More important than needing an incentive or not is the simple fact that the government does not need any more of our money.

And there's something new every day to put me in a foul mood about government waste. Today it is this:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/25/isu-researcher-aids-faking-han_n_4500383.html

A researcher at Iowa State University resigned after being investigated for falsifying AIDS research funded by millions in federal grants.

Dr. Dong-Pyou Han, an assistant professor in biomedical sciences at ISU, added human blood components to rabbit blood to make it appear that a vaccine was working to fight HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, the Des Moines Register reports.

Han was working for a research team led by biomedical professor Michael Cho, but Han acted without knowledge of anyone else on the team, according to the Register. They both came to ISU from Case Western University in 2009. The research had generated at least $19 million in funding from the federal government.

So this friggin' dingleberry gets $19 million of our money and does shit with it. $19 million! I'll be kicking up half of my income to government for my entire life and still never approach that figure. That figure represents how many working Americans' lifetime of tax contributions gone to shit.

And what's the response? Does this fraud have to pay us the money back? Does he even have to account for where it all went? Well, get a load of this:

Han agreed to exclude himself from any contracting or subcontracting work with any federal agency for three years

Ouch! He has to wait three years before he can bilk us again. I guess we'll have to raise taxes in anticipation of more fraud.

Sad part is that is the tip of the fraud iceberg.

It is sad.

If you think about how much an average working family may pay in taxes across a 40 year working life... I don't know... maybe $250K?

Multiply this by how many frauds out there?

How much did these families have to deny their children to pay these frauds? How many sacrifices? Maybe they couldn't pay for music lessons. Or pay for their childrens' college.

The non-chalance with which government abuses these sacrifices made by working Americans is repulsive. It's a sacred trust and responsibility to handle these monies. Instead, they are handled with negligence and indifference.

Very good point. I was just throwing out another option, but this is a very good point.

Yes because as a conservatard idiot you have no interest in paying down ther national debt, since it serves your purposes (prompting cuts to social services.) How about Fuck You.

This is one of the few times Pimp is correct about something.

Not even a close estimate moron. The average family pays $6000 a year? LMFAO. So much for your credibility.

So it is the government's fault that an individual committed a criminal act?:palm:
