ABBA

I don't think I'd have any regrets either if I wrote great songs, sold a gazillion records and made a bazillion dollars.

If I did, there would certainly be some deep-seated issues there. I might be tough to please.

why am I not surprised that USF was an ABBA fan?

I bet he loves Barry Manilow and Judy Garland and Bette Midler as well.

a bit swishy? ya think?

Abba Blabba bit the bullet, and kicked the damn bucket.

She's dead as a doornail!

Bye Bye, Blabba!

Bye Bye!

Dancing Queen, Fernando, Money Money Money ... Yep, good stuff. Right up there with Cyndi Lauper. In my single days that was my house cleaning music. Crank up one or the other loud enough to hear over the vacuum. Brings back memories. :)

Gee, I see you're lying again; because nothing along those lies were stated.
But I would expect nothing more, from a gun smuggling liar. :)

ABBA celebrate 40 years since breakthrough with party, no regrets

Four decades on from the flares, fame and fabulousness, the members of ABBA say they have no regrets — not even about the clothes.

Members of the Swedish supergroup marked 40 years since their international breakthrough hit "Waterloo" on Monday with a party for hundreds of guests at London's Tate Modern gallery...

(chuckle)

You pray to Abba!?!

That tells me everything about you that I need to know.

I love ABBA as well as the Gratetful Dead and Carlos Santana. I just love their last hit The Day Before You Came, just brilliant! I also think their last album the Visitors is a masterpiece. Watch this Russian made video it is very funny and the woman is gorgeous.

I kinda got dragged kickin' n' screamin' to "Mama Mia" on Broadway. Then, in spite of myself, I wound up loving it and coming away new respect for ABBA's compositions.

A few years later I sought out and secured tickets to the premier of "Good Vibrations," a Mama Mia inspired show based on the music of the Beach Boys, who I've been a fan of for ages. This would have to be a winner, right?

Wrong.

There's something intangible in pop music. Sometimes it is easy for others to reproduce it effectively (ABBA), and sometimes it's impossible to do so.

My God, not only did that suck, but I couldn't shut it off!
When I was a young man in Norway we listened to ABBA and it was cool, they were the only Scandinavian rock band, but that was many decades ago.
