7,000,000 BOOM!

I was against it, but not any other form of reparations.
Only a right wing hack wants it to fail.
As it's goal is to reduce hc I want it to be wildly successful.
I'm skeptical when doctors monopoly power is not touched.
I agree. I am sure that will be addressed in the future. There are good things and bad things about the ACA but in the balance it's a step in the right direction....but just a step. There's a looooooong way to go to reform our system. The ACA just establishes a precedent from which all other reforms will evolve.

:rofl2:

Always find it funny, that they are happy with 7 million signups, meanwhile the population of the USA is at 313.9 million. Current unemployed for longer than 27 weeks is currently at 3.8 million people, got to assume those all are on the taxpayer dime for Obamacare. What I want to see, is how many are actually paying without subsidies? Lots of details that are not being shared by the most transparent administration ever.

I never claimed that "our rates went down" I told you that MY rates went down.

I understand that, but because there is nothing more to support your assertions other than because you say so and your typical anecdotal facebook bullshit.

I am focusing on the real world. We were lied to by this administration when this legislation passed upon claims that rates would go down, they have not, and that 30 million would now have access to healh inurance, only 7 million, many of whom have not paid a dime yet, and that it would not add to our deficits, which it is.

The vast majority who have signed up and paid are those with the most need and insurers are already talking about the predictability that insurance rates will be escalating as a result and that the act will cost the taxpayers trillions.

So here you are cheering this act like a gullible leftist sheep in a vacuum of the realities and facts. I'm just curious why you think this is such great news; other than your rates and taxes will be skyrocketing shortly to pay for these "claimed" savings you have singularly experienced?

Your simplistic view of how the NYT and the LAT work is expected.

My simplistic view? How is my view simplistic Counselor? I read the LA Times every day.

Wrong; the ACA is a massive leap in the wrong direction. UNLESS, the real goal all the while for lying Democrats was to mask this as a first step towards a worse disaster like Government managed health care.

This isn't remotely connected to reform; it is a regression.

I'm still trying to figure out why the Counselor is cheering the 7 million as if it is some kind of success. I haven't seen the "why" yet other than his typical "it's all about me" arguments and anectdotal bullshit.

I normally don't respond to your post since your just a garden variety bigot who has never brought anything of value to this board but this has to be one of your dumbest posts...and you sir are legendary for stupid posts.

The 7 million sign ups via the exchanges represent 7 million sign ups mostly from people who could not afford insurance prior to the ACA and these exchanges. That's not including the nearly 4 million who have recieved coverage by the States what were smart enough to accept the expanion of medicare/medicaid in their States. So that's about a total of 11 million.

That means around 30% of those who did not have insurance before are now covered. Thats been done in less than 6 months and in spite of the problems that occurred during roll out of the exchanges.

As for your death spiral argument....already been debunked. More than enough young healthy people have signed up to prevent such an event from occuring.

So I know it breaks your heart that all this pain and suffering of these people will be diminished or end but look at the bright side. Another war to kill brown people could happen again.

So a total of 7 million have signed up, paid their premiums, and are now covered better than they were before? And none of them were previously covered, but lost it because obama declared they had "bad" policies before? And how many people were completely uninsured before this travesty began?(hint: 33 million, last I heard). More to follow, I'm tired of banging this out on a phone, and the questions are endless.

If Jarod isn't morbidly obese and couldn't get insurance because of elevated cholesterol;
Then aca was needed way more than I thought
Dude is rolling in cash so much he suffers excessive guilt.

Im about 10 lbs overweight (used to be 25), hardly morbidly obese for a man who stands at 5'11.

I had high cholesterol that is now under control.

seriously, you need to stop getting your 'facts' from Dolly.

this thread really is a rather pathetic statement on where this country is....the left lies and then lies about their lies....there is no honest debate possible because they are simply devoid of honesty....intellectually corrupt, morally dysfunctional and stuck on stupid....

I'm curious....is this 7 million people paying premiums or does if include those people paying $11 a month that the taxpayers are subsidizing?......

1) They won't say how many people have actually paid premiums of the 7 million
2) Yes, it includes those tax payers are subsidizing
3) What Mutt doesn't realize is they haven't told us how many of the 7 million are actually Medicaid sign ups
4) Mutt doesn't include the number of people who lost insurance plans due to Obama care
5) Mutt doesn't realize that the total number of uninsured is likely right about where it was prior to Obamacare, it is certainly not down 30% as he claims.

Two days ago Foxnews was gloating about how Obamacare would never reach the 7,000,000 goal. Today they are not mentioning it.

But they still want to repeal it!

Ted Cruz and his partisan Rightie friends think it would be fun to repeal ObamaCare and CANCEL THE POLICIES of the 7 MILLION insured through it, just to spite Obama and Democrats.

Apparently, it's sacrilege for the ACA to cancel the policies of a million or so whose plans don't qualify, but it's perfectly acceptable to partisan Righties for them to do it by cancelling ObamaCare outright.

Were they Counselor; do you have a link to this gloating? What do you think this 7,000,000 figure means Counselor?

I'm amused that he lefttards are cheering this arbitrary goal when the claim was tat there were around 30 million uninsured in he nation. While most of those signed up have not paid, and a majority who have are the very sick and do not have to pay or are getting massive subsides or being moved into Medicare, one has to wonder who is going to foot the bill for the massive increase in healthcare costs this was predicted to cause?

BEHOLD the latest newly minted Rightie talking point!

7 MILLION may have signed up...but so very many...GASP...HAVEN'T MADE A PAYMENT YET so they don't count.

ROTFLMAO!!

The desperation from partisan Righties is positively PALPABLE!

I'm bummed; I can't remember which idiot rightie started the idiot thread ridiculing the low # of website users in the FIRST WEEK this was utilized.

Would love to bump that now. You can't always get what you want.

8 out of 10 are receiving subsidies.....of the claimed 40+ million that were uninsured before, we have no way of knowing how many of the 7 million were uninsured before.

Of the 6 million that lost their insurance, we don't how many of the 7 million were re-insured.

Of the 7 million that are claimed to have signed up, we don't know how many actually have paid a premium to an insurance company yet....
