CoverOregon.com, the state’s equivalent of HealthCare.gov, is the only insurance exchange in the country on which people still cannot buy coverage entirely online. The flaws are so deep that Gov. John Kitzhaber concedes the state may give up on its own exchange and move to the federal HealthCare.gov next year.

Another $300 million wasted. Think how many people that money could have fed.

The tally for just the cost of the implementation of this abomination will be over a trillion.

Let's hope that after rates skyrocket thanks to this act, Americans will wake from their slumber and marginalize the Democratic Party for decades.

Lets all act surprised...

That's probably your best option at this point.

Angry Righties are FREAKING OUT...Defective Truth is proof of that!

Righties are absolutely LIVID that Democrats will go down in history as the Party that beat back the GREED of the PRIVATE, FOR PROFIT INSURANCE INDUSTRY and gave the people affordable health insurance!

All their angry recriminations and bullshit claims of "death panels" couldn't stop Obama, and as long as this great nation stands, people will remember it was the DEMOCRATS who got them affordable health insurance.

Simply another case of a state that trusted a known tech company, who ended up failing miserably. They tried to cram too much into one website, evidently. No matter. The issue is the purchase of health insurance. Before ACA, you had to go to a broker, and he'd sign you up. You can still do that in Oregon. If they use a Fed website until they can get one working properly, what's the problem?

We 'lost' more than 10 times that $300 million in Iraq, and nobody batted an eye.

Wrong; it is a case of gross incompetence by a State run agency much like the Federal one; proof that they are incapable of managing something as mundane and basic as a website, let alone an entire Healthcare industry.

They tried to cram too much into one website, evidently. No matter.

That’s an amazing claim when there are so many much more sophisticated private websites that function flawlessly every day handling millions of complex transactions.

That’s a lie; most that have insurance never see a broker and all the signups are online through the provider. Where do you come up with such uninformed nonsense? I've had health insurance all of my life and have never seen a broker.

You can still do that in Oregon. If they use a Fed website until they can get one working properly, what's the problem?

What’s the problem? Well gosh Andy Gump, perhaps the fact that States and the Feds are pissing away trillions of taxpayer’s money on something that doesn’t work perhaps???

Damn you are not only uninformed, but dumb and gullible. Do you pay any taxes? Or are you one of those 47 percent people who think you are entitled to others hard earned wealth by voting for dishonest politicans willing to pander to your ignorance?

We 'lost' more than 10 times that $300 million in Iraq, and nobody batted an eye.

I am amused that you call efforts to remove a despot and install a representative form of Government in a once tyrannically ruled nation a loss. We didn’t LOSE $300 million you dunce, we SPENT it in an effort to protect our allies and remove a tyrant.

I’d like you to pick up the Constitution some time and show me where it says the Federal Government should be in the business of intervening in the private economy. I’ll show you the part where it explicitly states that the Federal Government IS responsible for our defense and making treaties.
