Crazy car nutter kills again...

ITs both, we need to know who owns certain cars. I have had to go to the registry often to determine who owns certain cars, it assists me in lawsuits, but it also assists in commerce. Much like how a title to a house is filed.
explain this to the class. WHY do you need to know who owns CERTAIN cars and what does it tell you?

:rofl2:

It just gets better and better....

Rashad Charjuan Owens had been in Austin to perform at an East Austin venue before police say he plowed through a crowd of South by Southwest festival-goers early Thursday morning downtown.

His brother, Lamar Wilson, told the American-Statesman that he last saw Owens on Wednesday evening before his show at Club 1808 near 12th and Chicon streets. Owens, whose stage name is KillingAllBeatz or K.A.B254, was the father of six young children, one of whom lives in Alaska, Wilson said.

His brother had been studying music production at an online university and had borrowed the car he was in from a friend named Andrew Bramwell, Wilson said

Christopher Haug, chief of media relations for Fort Hood, told the American-Statesman that Bramwell was a soldier at the Killeen military base and had reported his car stolen Thursday morning. Haug said Owens was not a Fort Hood solider.

I'm much more concerned with daily gun violence and accidents than I am with mass murder situations.
I have mixed emotions about gun accidents. Innocents dying from the improper management of fire arms is not a laughing matter and there should be reasonable discussions about workable solutions within the parameters of 2nd amendment rights.

But dumbass gun owners who shoot themselves...kinda hard not to view that as natural selection.

there's no simple and easy answer, in my opinion. i'm reasonably sure that when the framers wrote the constitution, they weren't allowing the government to restrict the rights of the peaceable citizens in the hopes that it would prevent the nutjobs from committing criminal acts.
No I am prettying sure they were concerned about individual and collective defense as well as personal survival. Living in a frontier society on the very margins of law and order, if any at all, was pretty damned dangerous. Kinda like living in Detroit!

AUSTIN, Texas — A third person died Monday from injuries sustained in last week's tragedy in which a drunk driver plowed through a crowd outside a nightclub at the South By Southwest music festival.

bilde

A car hit the victim, Sandy Le, on Thursday outside The Mohawk nightclub, according to the Travis County Medical Examiner's Office. Le, 26, was an Austin resident but was a native of Pass Christian, Miss., according to her family. She had been on life support in critical condition since the accident occurred. "She lived in this whimsy that almost made you jealous, she was a very carefree and nonchalant person with a definitely giving spirit, and she was very selfless," said her brother-in-law, Stuart Gates of Hattiesburg, Miss. "She was full of life, she was quirky, and she was always someone you were looking forward to seeing."

Le was with a group of friends, some also injured, when police say Rashad Owens, 21, of Killeen, Texas, crashed through a barricade closing the downtown street to vehicle traffic. He's accused of driving drunk, fleeing from police and intentionally driving into a crowd of festival-goers.

A fourth person has died from injuries sustained in the March 13 tragedy in which a suspected drunken driver plowed through a crowd outside a nightclub at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin.

De'Andre Tatum, 18, died Thursday, his pastor and the Fort Worth Independent School District confirmed. The Fort Worth native was in a medically induced coma at the University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin after the deadly crash. He was the last of the victims still in critical condition at the hospital.

Tatum was with his girlfriend on Red River Street when police say Rashad Owens, 21, of Killeen, Texas, in the midst of a chase with police drove through a road block and into the crowd.

Jamie West, 27, of Austin, and Steven Craenmehr, 35, of Amsterdam, were killed that night. More than 20 others were injured. Tatum was among eight victims transported to the hospital. Sandy Le, 26, died of her injuries March 17, while Tatum remained in the hospital in critical condition.
