That was big of him to apologize, some wouldn't. There was a dress code in place when I had jury duty. You couldn't wear stuff like shorts or flip-flops.

My opinion might be different for Jurors , they are not there in a professional or as a litigant, and many are pissed about being there... I don't think they should be required to wear a tie.

I don't think the guy had much of a choice but to apologise if he wanted to keep in good graces with the chief judge.

That's the house, no air conditioning. I see the window in the back, it seems to have glass, but its the big windows in the front I was talking about.. they have the plexi-glass system.

No a/c! She must be missing her sweat glands if that tiny fan is enough for her.

Some of the men wore jackets and ties and some of the women wore skirts but most of us wore "business casual." Actually I wouldn't have minded getting picked because it was a prominent murder case and the guy was convicted. They had an initial show of hands on how many prospective jurors supported or didn't support the death penalty. Since I'm against it they may not have picked me anyway.

It was August when I visited her, and it was Hot... She had sweat glands... so did I. I have a photo somewhere of the two of us, she had a dress like the one in the photo but it was wet in the pits and neck line, as was my shirt. She claimed to like the heat and to not be able to tolerate air conditioning.

Maybe I like her so much because my grandmother was the same way, she lived in a similar house and refused to use the A/C. For the last few years of her life she refused to go indoors except to prepare food and sleep.

I was so happy to get in my car and blast the A/C.

Life in Florida! Except for the humidity and the hurricanes it sounds wonderful.

Lol. Our PA weather guys are telling us to gear up for a record-breaking hot summer so I feel your pain.

Seriously Shhhh!

Where I live now is better than where I lived in Tampa. IN Tampa I lived way inland and it was swampy.

Here I live less than a mile from the Atlantic and I get a breeze, but its a salty breeze and I have to put up with salt residue on my car.

Both reagan and Bush 41 said knee-length skirts with stockings and no pantsuits for women. That was harsh.

Pretty much the same for my teachers in the late 70's to 80's. I do remember them allowing pantsuits on Fridays and during certain temperatures when I was in high school.
