Issa caught BS'ing on FOX

because it's being run by a black democrat, obviously.

More race hustling stupidty by the dunce brigade; no shocker here.

But hey, what's the big deal right? After all, it was only four Americans lives right? OMG; Look, a traffic jam!!!

In my days on active duty, "stand down" was a very specific phrase with a very specific meaning. It did not mean anything BUT, stop what you are doing and await further instructions.

Of course!

You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

However, it sure is fun watching desperate Righties caught in yet another lie pretend "stand down" can mean any number of things.

What ISSA said on Fox is fact....

ISSA: Well, the use in answering questions in a political fundraiser -- that was in response to a question -- the term "stand down" is not used in some sort of an explicit way. But rather the failure to react, the fact that only State Department assets and only assets inside the country were ever used, that members arms forces, gun carrying, trained people were not allowed to get on the aircraft to go and attempt to rescue. Those kinds of things through State Department resources represent a stand down. Not maybe on the technical terms of "stand down, soldier," but on the American people believe is a failure to respond what they could have.

Spin it anyway you like.

The fact remains that it is ONLY partisan Righties still spin the lie that the State Department issued any sort of "stand down" order.

Hell; it was only four lives...no big deal for Liberals. There's no scandal here even though this administration sent Susan Rice out to lie about the event during an election.

Nothing to see here folks; OMG, look, a bridge traffic JAM!!!!

For someone who feigns concern for the Benghazi dead, you haven't said WORD ONE about the DOZENS KILLED during the Bush years...why no outrage ove those deaths?

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT...because you can't score any political points off those particular deaths...how inconvenient for you.

Sounds reasonable.....you guys have no problem in spinning the Iraq War Resolution into not being a "go" vote to invade Iraq just because the
phrase "invasion" wasn't in the document, doesn't this amount to the same thing ?....
So the phrase "stand down" wasn't used but the result the same as if it was.....

Once again, our willfully ignorant teabagger toadie Nova displays the sheer idiocy that has allowed the GOP to play him and others for fools to vote for them.

Note that Nova left out this part of the quote:

WALLACE: But to be honest, you do not have any evidence that Secretary Clinton told Leon Panetta to stand down.

That was Issa's original accusation. Now he spins like a dervish with this "might be, should be, can be" baloney.

Issa is a crook who has no credibility beyond what money the rabid right wing corporatist throw behind him...and the right wing media propagandize.

In February, the Joint Chiefs chairman, Gen. Martin Dempsey, was asked by Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-New Hampshire, why F-16s at Aviano Air Base in Italy weren't deployed to Benghazi that night.

"This is the middle of the night now, these are not aircraft on strip alert," Dempsey said. "They're there as part of our commitment to NATO and Europe. And so, as we looked at the time line , it was pretty clear that it would take up to 20 hours or so to get them there. Secondly, senator, importantly, it was the wrong tool for the job."

That is again unbelievable.....20 hours to get a plane airborne?...bullshit, unless we are playing with unairworthy planes all over Italy....just about every plane on every
flight line on any base should be ready to go in a hell of lot less time than 20 hours...and its odd Dempsey singled out a base as far north in Italy as you can get
and still be in Italy........

All your supposition and conjecture aside, what's this got to do with the FACT that

WALLACE: But to be honest, you do not have any evidence that Secretary Clinton told Leon Panetta to stand down.

You can blow all the smoke you want, dimbulb. Issa made an accusation, and as Wallace pointed out:

WALLACE: But to be honest, you do not have any evidence that Secretary Clinton told Leon Panetta to stand down.

So now Issa tries to redefine terminology and throw in "might be, should be, could be"

ONly an idiot would by Issa's BS.

Wrong again....its not that "stand down" can mean any number of things, its that any number of things can mean "stand down" ....nice try though.

And being told to do nothing is just another way of saying "stand down" .....that ain't spin, thats what happened.

Well, you being a spin master of bullshit might just note that I never claimed "Secretary Clinton told Leon Panetta to stand down".

After the attacks ended without planes being scrambled or special forces dispatched, the lieutenant colonel in Tripoli who commanded the Special Operations team told Hicks he was sorry that his men had been held back.

Is the lieutenant colonel in Tripoli who commanded the Special Operations team a liar ?....because that is exactly what you're claiming.

Thats right Zippy, now explain it to TC the moron....

Here is Issa's quote...." the term "stand down" is not used in some sort of an explicit way. I see no mention of Clinton or Panetta....I see "State Department", that is Issa's assertion....
the lieutenant colonel in Tripoli who commanded the Special Operations team got his orders from somewhere, so not the State Department, where....

A Pentagon spokesman said “We have repeatedly stated that while Department officials started taking action immediately after learning that an attack was underway at the American facility there, our forces were unable to reach it in time to intervene to stop the attacks,” Pentagon spokesman George Little said in an e-mail Monday night.

I have yet to hear what actions the State Dept. took immediately after learning that an attack was underway at the American facility, an attack that lasted 6 to 8 hrs.

The ORIGINAL lie perpetrated by Faux News and LYING Republicans:

"Special forces troops "willing to risk their lives to go save them" were "told to stand down".

Jason Chaffetz says Americans ready to save men 'getting killed' in Benghazi were told to stand down

With Americans under attack in Benghazi, did the U.S. military do all it could to save lives?

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, says no.

Four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, were killed in attacks that began Sept. 11, 2012, on U.S. compounds in Benghazi, Libya.

Meanwhile, four special forces troops "willing to risk their lives to go save them" were "told to stand down," Chaffetz told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, a member of the committee, tells CNN that "military personnel were ready willing and able, and within proximity, but the Pentagon told them they had no authority and to stand down."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Missouri Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R) directly blamed President Obama for ordering the stand down which facilitated the assault on the US consulate in Benghazi.

Wagner was asked by talk show host Dana Loesch, “Because you have been an ambassador, you have been overseas with similar responsibilities and similar missions – who gives such an order to stand down? Where does that come from?”

“The President of the United States,” responded Wagner.

The White House has been scrambling to avoid the question of who gave the stand down order ever since whistleblower Greg Hicks, who was number two to Ambassador Chris Stevens, testified that US special forces were ready to board a plane in Tripoli but were prevented from coming to the aid of those under assault inside the consulate.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command -- who also told the CIA operators twice to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The same bald faced lie the Righties don't want to talk about, repeated over and over and over by their paid shills.

And now that it's been proven to be FALSE, well, Angry Righties have got to spin their lies or admit they were full of shit from the beginning.

Anyone want to bet which choice they decide upon?

See, that cuts right to the ROOT of your lie.

Your claim that soldiers were told to "do nothing" is an outright LIE.

Your claim that soldiers were told to "not get on the airplane" is an outright LIE.

It's all bullshit, made up out of whole cloth by angry, partisan Righties.

Can you prove these were lies?

Simply repeating to yourselves the lies you got off FoxNews doesn't make them real. Listening to the rightwingnuts do that is rather like working the psychiatric ward and watching those poor people babbling to themselves repeatedly about their mysterious experiences in war, world leadership and space ships. It's usually best to simply humor them.

Wow Zippy you've got quite an imagination. Tell us again how our rights come from the government.

NRA's gotten 10,000 killed annually. So

Notice how all the angry, partisan Righties are so very ready to discuss how "stand down" can mean anything they like, but not a one of them wants to discuss how their original claim, THAT A STAND DOWN ORDER WAS ISSUED, is total bullshit.
