Anaheim police charged longtime Los Angeles news anchor Bree Walker with drunk driving Wednesday, saying she appeared “disheveled” and reeked of alcohol.
The former anchor remembered for her work in the 1980s was pulled over around 12:30 a.m. after allegedly making an illegal left turn, KTLA reported.
Cops smelled alcohol and said the 61-year-old Walker had bloodshot, watery eyes. She failed a sobriety test and was released after signing a written promise to appear in court, according to the site.
Walker was a well known and respected anchor on KCBS in L.A. through the 1990s. She was caught in an on-air scandal in 1990 when it was revealed she was carrying on an affair with co-anchor Jim Lampley while both of them were married to other people. They later married each other and divorced in 2000.
I like how they left out the fact that she was a liberal anti-war activist and the idiot that paid Cindy Sheehan $87,000 for Camp Casey, the protest site next to President Bush's home in Crawford,Texas.

Sheehan handed the deed to Walker during her June 9, 2007 broadcast of "The Bree Walker show.".[8] Walker has preserved the property as a peace memorial and garden and keeps it open to antiwar protesters.
