At what point do you have a right to shoot someone dead?

So, clearly there is a place where you have a right to kill... like say you are backed into an alley being threatened with a gun. And there is a place where you have no right to kill in self defense... like say your waitress spills soup on your lap.

But where is the line? At what point do/should you have a right to shoot?

that 'line' is exactly where it is for any cop......if you feel that you are in danger of bodily harm or death.

Once again you fail to comprehend the argument or debate, and instead fabricate a strawman to argue which is typical for you.

It's not about the right to kill, but rather, a right to defend yourself.

I know thats a difficult concept for leftist dunces to comprehend.

Carry on counselor.

But not for cops?

There has to be some rational basis for the fear.

I think if you start a confrontation or show a willingness to engage in one then you have a greater responsibility to retreat.

I was hoping for a reference to terrified doughy grindboys being at the mercy of middle schoolers...I love those posts.

only a fucking chicken shit would shoot someone for merely knocking at your door.

they may be in need of medical treatment.

why are cons such chicken shits?

I know where I stand on these scenarios, I am interested in where everyone else thinks the line should be drawn... Nobody wants to answer my 3AM question except Evince?

Because it's a stupid condescending question Jarod which is why you asked it. Don't ask stupid shit and then pretend to be surprised that no one answers (except for Desh of course).

Why is it condescending to try to hash out the answer... I am honestly interested. We had a situation here in Palm Beach County where a kid was playing the ring and run game at 3 AM. He tied a string to the door knocker at a mans house and was going to hide in the bushes and knock. The homeowner heard him tying the string and opened the door, then he shot the kid dead in the back as he ran away.

To me that is clearly not a valid shooting... but the NRA and the Homeowner argued that it was.
