For a 400 years in the South they never put white men in jail for rape, they killed a black man even accused of rape or smarting off to bus drivers, they raped women who did the same and it wasn't until the mid to late 60s that white men started to be tried and convicted for rape but they had a special white privilege escape clause and that was if the jury convicted a white man of rape they attached the special white privilege "mercy clause" to the verdict and he couldn't be sentenced to death. So even after they started occasionally convicting white men for rape in the most atrocious cases as when a white man raped a 7 year old black child and was sentenced to life, he was quickly paroled after sentencing.

For a long time, in the South they did absolutely nothing to men no matter how depraved their behavior! If the true story of what happened to Black women throughout history in the South were ever completely told the Southern States would all have to secede in shame! I can't prove this but I would bet that the men here with the most obnoxious woman-hating posts here on a regular basis are from the South! The vaginal probe which is so popular there today was a general part of all arrests of women and this was long before there were any women police to do them. Women who were arrested were subjected to all manner of abuse and sexual harassment as well as rape on a regular basis.

you guys are a the biggest welfare states, draining money from the elite north. secede again and we'll crush you like the first time. you'd all be a 3rd world country without us.

It was horrendous. I was do ignorant until Darla suggested some reading.

I still get a lump in my throat thinking of the social injustices. The murders of innocents. The message that was carried forward that black men rape white women, when it was more white men rape black women.

I do wish we would get the real history of Rosa Parks and her activism. She her a greater heroine then this nation realizes.
