Boomers fade, millenials in the drivers' seat now

Several of them, yes.

I'm not. That doesn't mean that I have disdain for those who still do. All it DOES mean is that I am glad I no longer have to do that myself... and that I am financially able to support myself and my wife and my children, and that I am a good enough gambler not to make bad bets so I do collect more than I pay out. That's all.

I wonder if millenials are still "working for the man"?

all three of my children are.... not that they don't like their jobs - they all do - but they ARE all working for bosses. I am not. At this point in my life, I am finally my own boss, and I enjoy who I work for.

You say that you don't have disdain for workers, but you obviously do. In order for you to enjoy your great wealth there must be many poor minions to support you though, right? It seems to me that you could at least have some respect for them.

His "great wealth" comes from 21 years of service to a grateful nation, doesn't it?

Of course, his sound gambling practices must add considerably to the pot.

Last time I checked, an O-5 made around $100K a year while on active duty.

where is this supposed "obvious disdain"? Nothing I have ever said shows any disdain for anyone who punches a clock. I stated flat out that I did so myself for nearly 40 years...

and I have no one supporting me.... I earned my money... I earned my retirement... I saved and invested and now I am enjoying the fruits of my labor.

I retired from the Navy twenty years ago. I've been busy since then... doing lucrative things. ;)

I understand that you re afraid to admit your disdain, but I found it to be obvious.

You are retired and you are still supporting your children?

That's a decent coin, especially since the retirement benefits are so good.

I give them a little something every Christmas... and I have helped my youngest pay for law school....

you may have found it obvious, but it was fictitious. I have no disdain for people doing what I did for 40 years.
