What Phil Robertson DID do

obviously you're being deliberately obtuse.....you're still trying to play this as if it were a disagreement on the definition of "Mosaic"......as I said several pages ago we can forgo that charade by talking of the difference between the laws of atonement and the Ten Commandments.....you cannot possibly be arguing that the Ten Commandments are part of the law of atonement.....

so, which is it......are you claiming that the Ten Commandments have been abolished or are you claiming that we still need to have an annual sacrifice of a scapegoat?......

He played the same game with the situation of him smuggling a gun into Mexico and then attempting to make it look like he hadn't done anything wrong.
It's part of his criminal thinking.

I really don't want to read 50 pages of stuff so I'll ask what is the issue here on both sides?

Neither Jesus or Duck dude seemingly have said anything direct about abortion, but we have a discussion about abortion that runs the same arguements on both sides that one could ahve heard in 1979. Both sides are talking past each other, and apparently in a nation with lots of interesting resteraunt choices, both sides are offering fecces both intellectually and from a dietary standpoint.

In other news, rain is wet, Geroge W bush is still the worst president of modern times, we continue to spend assloads of money that we don't have at the federal level.....and did I mention the biggest shocker....rain is actually wet.

of which discussion?.....there have been at least a half dozen over the last fifty pages....

discussion implies that there has been some sort of a tranistion in thought, moment of enlightenment, or that either side is actually really listening to the other one. So I might take offense at calling it an actuall discussion....in other news, death valley is dry and hot, Clinton commited Perjery when he lied about lewinsky....and the real news....death valley is dry and hot.

My, what a sinful and unrepentant mind you have.

....according to the Bible, that would be pretty much all of us. Not really sure given the attitudes and conduct here I would seriously choose anyone on this discussion board for an Elder of my wife's church. But this is why I no longer actually openly identify myself as a conservative Christian-I realize that my beliefs do not square with current ideas of Christian orthoxy, so I do not make that claim.

I hear he drinks goat piss in his spare time also. In other news, gridlock continues in the House of Representatives, catshit smells like big money (as in I have to pick some cat litter up at the store today) and according to many members here, apparently Maineman is the antichrist, verifying Hal Lindsays books from the 1970's about the end times.

Oh, and did I mention that catshit smells like big money....and that I need to pick up some cat litter at the store on the way home?

That was not directed to you. Thanks for letting me know the tea party is in your head.

In a good sort of a way. There are a lot of good Tea party folks at the local and state level, and lots of my automotive, woodworking and college friends are Tea party. We need a rational republican party to balance out the democrats, and given Boehner, Cantor, McConnel, and company I'll gladly take the tea party in their place any day.

You forgot to brag about the wonderful new health care bill everyone loves.

right....Jesus was advocating abortion when he said, "suffer the little children to be brought unto me".......
and when the spirit "breathed" life into a baby, was when Jews believed that the spirit entered it... so... first trimester fetuses were not what Jews of that era thought of as "little children".

and you can't show ME where Jesus specified that only the ten commandments were to survive and the laws of atonement - as defined by you, obviously - were going to go. And you STILL have never shown me a red led passage where Jesus spoke against abortion.

Oh, yes, yes, yes, Jesus approves of abortion. Oh yes.

You can't show me where Jesus said drinking arsenic will kill you. Please take some.

in other words, any thread in which our liberals participate is not a discussion......

Given that 4 million people now have insurance that didn't have it before, I'd say its a damn fine thing. Oh, and thanks for reminding me....

back to reality, one million people now have insurance that didn't have it before and three million people who had insurance got cancelled.....

It will be more popular as time goes on.
lol....wait till the folks who get their insurance from their employer go through the same thing us self-employed people went through in the last three months....Obama made a major political blunder extending the deadline for small business till just before the 2014 elections......
