actually, his comments were not ON A&E... his comments were in an article for GQ. Yet A&E decided that he doesn't have a right to make comments about his beliefs and subsequently suspended him.

First off, can anyone state what was so offensive about what he said?

He didn't compare homosexuality to bestiality. He was asked what he thought was sinful and he listed a few which included homosexuality.

Apparently the queer lobby doesn't want people to have their own beliefs anymore. Don't want to get in the way of trying to normalize their aberrant behavior

They did not say he does not have the right to make the comments, (they did not request that he be jailed or otherwise prevented from sharing his views) they simply said that because of those comments they were going to suspend him. I wonder what he agreed to in his contract.

So are you saying A&E does not have a right to choose who has a show on their network?
 
If the dude had said that he believed treating black people with equal rights to white people was sinful... nobody would be upset about him being suspended, at least not in modern times.

Even though 99% of DD viewers agree with this inbred idiot, A&E still has to weigh the possibility that other A&E viewers would be offended by such hateful, uneducated extremism.

Hank Williams Jr. lost his gig on Monday Night Football for similar idiotic behavior. It's just the way it is when you're in the public eye. You're entitled to speak your mind. You're also entitled to pay the consequences when you offend 1/2 the country.

I support his right to say anything he wants, even if its idiotic. I believe in his right to be an ass. I also believe in A&E's right to choose who they put on the air.

It's obviously offensive and it has little to do with homosexuality. The guy is a pervy scumbag, who needs to take more baths like the rest of the degenerate klansman, who have a crush on him. If he were discussing the details of his preference of anatomy in regards to age, race, weight or health it would be disgusting and offensive. The fact that you closeted homos are offended by where your imagination runs is your problem.
 
We have more offensive people on here and Damocles does not ban them, and I respect that, but if he wanted to ban ISJJ or ILA that would be his right. The difference is that Damocles is not on here trying to make as much a profit as possible. The executives at A&E are.
