In the long term, the rule change represents a substantial power shift in a chamber that for more than two centuries has prided itself on affording more rights to the minority party than any other legislative body in the world.
For the majority of it's history, the senate operated largely on majority rule, and filibusters were a relatively rarely used tactic. Things have gradually degraded over the past few decades to the point where everything bill is filibustered, and the effective threshold of passing legislation was increased to 60%. Abolishing the filibuster will bring the senate back closer to it's traditional manner of operating.
Oh, I think the Republicans will change it back, they are so against it and think its bad for the country and all.We'll see how Dems like this change when they have fewer than 50 Senate seats...
Motts right, fuck minorities. What have the minority groups of any kind ever done for the majority? If they don't like a decision, they can just shut up and take it. That's the exact same line our great FDR took, and look exactly what it got us;

If FDR had our Congress, he might not have been able to keep us safe from those dangerous minorities.

False.I am all for the change. It will make it that much easier to repeal Obamacare.

False.
Woosh.how about the japanese regiment sent to europe during wwii
how about albert einstein
the list is rather long of the accomplishments of members of minority groups
then there is the fact that all immigrants/minority groups, including 'white' have had outstanding members of our society and have made outstanding contributions to our nation.
at one time or another we were all minorities.
Like the fact that BJ Bill was impeached in the House for perjury was false?
President Clinton was acquitted of perjury. No criminal charges were ever filed bit its akin to the way George Zimmerman was acquitted.

False.
An impeachment is an equivalent to filing charges.
True. Only a deluded fool thinks that this will be confined to just a few judicial nominees.
Remember it is ALWAYS the democrat party that starts this bullshit then they caterwaul when the GOP turns the tables on them. There is no going back. The filibuster is gone. I personally am glad because now it will take only 51 votes in the Senate to repeal Obummercare.
He was impeached in the House for perjury, Counselor.
