I so hope this fruitcake runs for president in 2016. There wasn't enough time in 2012 to beat up on him before he got hosed.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is spending time right now making movies, but he's not ruling out another presidential run in 2016.

Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator, said Monday he needs to consider the effect on his wife and seven children of another run, and also the financial burden.

But he said "sure" when asked if he is still open to another run. He said he will see where he is a year from now.

For now, Santorum's in the movie business. In June, he was named CEO of EchoLight Studios, a Dallas-based film production company promoting family Christian films. He is currently in New York showing one of those films, "The Christmas Candle."

i never get this line of thought, from both sides.

our country suffers if there is one party that puts up a dud.

I want the democrats to put forward their most capable, intelligent, elite candidate they've got. I don't want them to put forward an asshole or a sociopath who will do anything for power. I at the very least want someone that has their heart in the right place. They can be reasoned with.

The same with the republicans.

Cause you know why? Sometimes the mouthbreathing proles win. And even if they don't, they continue to shape the political culture.

If it wasn't for sarah palin, you may not have all the tea party bullshit that you abhor. You wouldn't have to be worrying about the government shutting down every 3 months or us defaulting on our debt.

(not that I personally care, I love the shitshow)

But hey, she lost, right?

Don't take the shortview. Take the longview.

If your candidate needs someone like santorum to make it easier on them to win, then you should get a better candidate.

This is why democracies do no produce the best candidates for office, they produce mediocre ones.

you are certainly correct in a narrow sense...but the concept of "coattails" is real... and the nuttier the GOP candidate, the longer the coattails of the democrat are, and THEN, we can do our damnedest to govern with a majority and let the GOP sit on the back bench for a congress or two and see what we can actually get accomplished.

who has the right put up recently that has been a decent candidate?

they cheat and they still lose.

Your fucks cant even win while cheating their asses off
