So by stating "I will not negotiate" at that point he was declaring a shutdown? Are you sure he wasn't responding to Ted Cruz's shutdown proposal?

Republicans have had months to change this bill.......months......They should have been proposing these changes this entire time instead of proposing to shut it down. Shoving a negotiation deal last second and saying "we'll shut down the government if you don't delay the bill by a year" was ignorance. Then even closer to last second they tried to change it to "everyone has to get the same plan" but it was too late. It was proposed right before the shutdown with pressure.

Again, they could have been trying these changes for MONTHS now instead of focusing on ending it.

The debate now is this. Do Democrats negotiate under shutdown conditions making it look ok to shutdown the government to get what you want? No, because it's simply not ok to shutdown the government you unpatriotic idiots. We discuss bills with an open government.
 
TD is one of those people that believe all media they see/hear without questioning it. Generally these media's are hate monger media that say mainstream media and the majority are wrong.

Misinformation is getting spread like wildfire but it blows my mind that so many people will believe anything they read from any particular source without question. People need to question everything, even if it does come from their bias media.

This isn't a Republican vs. Democrat shutdown battle. It's a Republican vs. Tea Party/Libertarian battle. Republicans are trying to end this nonsense.

Will these hatemonger media driven Right Wing American Rebels get exposed for what they are and put an end to them so Republicans can regain their party and bring back common sense? Or is it going to take a shutdown and default for these extremists to say "I told you so" even when they are the driving force behind this?
 
Id say that the Republians should work toward ending Obamacare the way the Founders intended legislation to be passed, they should get a majority in both houses, and a president who will sign a repeal.
