The South Florida lesbian accused of having sex with her underage girlfriend is back behind bars after a plea deal was withdrawn Monday.

Kaitlyn Hunt, 19, appeared in court Tuesday wearing an orange jumpsuit with her wrists in handcuffs strapped to a belt around her waist — a day after being rebooked into Indian River County Jail.

Prosecutors discovered that Hunt allegedly violated the terms of the agreement by contacting the girl. They say she used an iPhone to send text messages, nude photos and video to her now 15-year-old girlfriend.

Hunt was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a child without bond, as well as an additional charge of transmitting nude photos to a minor.

"There is not a gray area with regard to age," Thom Raulen, public information officer for the Indian River County Sherriff's Office told the Daily News. "The victim was below 16 so that is clearly under the age that allows her to give consent in the State of Florida."

Earlier this month, the prosecution offered Hunt a plea deal that would spare her jail time and registration as a sex offender.

Hunt would have just needed to plead guilty to lesser charges of child abuse and the prosecution said they would then recommend two years of house arrest and one year of probation.

Would it matter if the age of the person who deflowered your daughter at the age of 16 was another 16 year-old or a 20 year-old? And why?

It was in response to Soc's post; but since you decided to respond to my query, why don't you answer the question first.
Unless you're worried that your position that this shouldn't be against the law, has already outed you and you're worried that it's going to make your position even less agreeable.

I think I did answer the question. Once, in not defending the actions of the subject of this thread...the lesbian, and yet again....or at least alluded to my feelings when I asked you the SECOND question.....which you also refused to answer.

In a perfect world, I wouldn't want my daughter to lose her virginity until her wedding night. But we don't live in a perfect world, do we?

And don't change the goalposts....this was never about underage kids having sex. This was about sex between minors and people barely into adulthood.

I think until people hit drinking age, they aren't full adults yet. I think they are responsible for their actions and should, at that point be starting to make better decisions...but the behavior patterns(impulsiveness, emotional inconsistency, etc) are still very much that of a teenager.

Many of us who still can remember back to our "glory days" wonder how we made it through without doing something so stupid that it affected us for life....speeding, drinking and driving, car accidents that could kill or maim ourselves or others, drug use....and yes, statutory rape charges for some.

I know I didn't really start to settle down until I was about 23. I started at the place I work now at age 21....and still did a bit of partying for a while after...but after two years of dragging myself into work, which started at 6AM.....the party scene lost it's luster.

There is no such thing as "barely" a minor. You either are or aren't. But with adulthood....well, legally it's the same....you hit 18, you're an adult....but developmentally? Very few are actually adults yet.

In Florida it matters when an 18 year old adult molests a 14 year old child, yet many liberals are signing online petitions, marching, and protesting because they think it's OK as long as the molester is gay, apparently.

That's the issue.

I meant to you...or rather 911 on a personal level. Sexual activity does not necessarily mean molestation. Apparently these two had a relationship when both were minors....I don't consider that situation a "molestation". Statutory Rape? Yes.

When I think of a child molested, I think of a predator who stalks, selects, earns the trust of a minor and then exploits the sexually.

I don't think that's the case here...I think it was a friendship that turned into an affair. Does that make her any less guilty? No.

But I don't think she's a dangerous sexual predator.
