I bought one of those Bush country shirts with the red and blue map of the U.S. on it in 2001. I wore it a couple of times in San Francisco on weekends just to see the reaction I would get on people's faces and some didn't disappoint. After about a year or so I put that bad boy away never to be seen or talked about again (except for this moment).

I'll send you my 2008 Deadheads for Obama T-shirt (from The Warfiled concert) if you want. It may be better received in San Fran and I don't get much mileage out of it.

I can think of more than 3 million people (including 58,000 Americans) were killed in the Vietnam War as a direct result of LBJ (Dem.)....and lost the war....
a TOTAL clusterfuck.....
and then the 2000+ US KIA in Afghanistan under Obama alone.

I agree with you re Johnson, I wish someone who would not have gotten us into Vietnam had been president.

Obama did not get us into Afganistan, but I have always supported what we are doing there.

And Bush didn't 'get us into Afghanistan".....OBL got us there and his band of crazy barbarians.....

At least we won the war in Iraq....Saddam was ousted and the people have no one but themselves to blame if they don't take their country on a different path....
he's given them a chance.....
At least Saddam and his lunatic sons won't be raping new brides or throwing people from rooftops for kicks anymore.....

. I believe Bush did right by starting the action in Afganistan. He should have focused on it!
