For Winterborn: the most amazing college athletic facility

why didn't the video embed?

here is the first comment:

In 2012, Alabama football produced $82 million in revenue, and $45.1 million in profit. In 2011, the football revenue ($72.8 million), was 11% of the campus' revenue as a whole. The athletics department's income also helps contribute to a scholarship fund on campus. This is most definitely built purely on Athletic Department Funds.

so don't cry that this took money from education....

Yeah, I have been told it is an amazing facility. I have a friend who works with the gymnastics team, and they are loving it.

And Scott Cochran (strength & conditioning coach for the football team) is an amazing trainer/motivator.

You're in the wrong forum for this crap. This is a current events news political forum.

WE ARE.....PENN STATE!

Get your football over where it belongs.

And your university is on borrowed time as well it should be because of your papa Joe football first, morality and decency somewhere down the line next.

This gets back to my explanation of how morality doesn't mean a G damned thing to you people anymore with your lust for fun and games and this whole entertainment mantra of yours.

Bullshit...Papa Joe was railroaded. For fucking decades he produced incredible STUDENT ATHLETES. He was, admittedly in the game way too long ..and I think towards the end his lung cancer, combined with wanting to be the winningest coach made him compromise where he wouldn't have 20 years ago.

Bullshit back to you. Papa Joe was an old degenerate who knew that children were being molested and violated at your university and kept it a secret and swept it under the rug for years for the sake of the almighty dollar and football and everybody outside your football dream world knows it.

If that old degenerate bastard hadn't of died, he would have eventually been indicted.

Your university and your whole stupid football team are down the crapper and will never recover no matter how much you don't give a damn about what was going on there for the sake of your football team.

The lust for money was more important than children and their well being at your university and this is so A typical of individuals such as yourself who just sweep away any moral concern of decency for the sake of your fun.

And this topic is a sports topic and it belongs in the sports forum and not here.

Waaaa! Cry about it.

Actually, since there have been several discussions about the funding issues of college sports, and the facilities in question are new, this is a current events topic. It is not about the sports, per se, but about the way a winning program can fund the entire athletic department and even put money into the general fund for the university.

It is a discussion of the profitability of college sports. The biggest question is, should the athletes share in those profits?
