That my friend comports with EVERY piece of evidence.

The prosecution presenting "...what if's..." is not E-V-I-D-E-N-C-E.

Then it must be your black privilige that has stopped you from complaining everyday for all the black boys being killed in Chicago, by other black boys.

I can't even handle the thought of something happening to my daughter in a combat zone.

To see my child who has been murdered, put on trial in that manner .. I would just lose it entirely.

There was no murder; because he was found to be not guilty of murder. :palm:
 
Say what you want... BAC has created a thread where people have talked about race relations in the US. Whether you think he's utilizing hyperbole comparing Trayvon with Emmett Till or not we are holding a conversation. Even the more immediate and emotive personal "Onceler's a racist" kind of stuff actually creates an overview on how people in the US speak on the subject today. In between all of that personal stuff some of y'all have actually held quite an interesting conversation.

BTW - I have never put any of you on ignore, ever. I won't either. I don't think it is fair when you can't put me on that list, and even if I wasn't a Mod I still would never use it. I have also never "groaned" anybody in any serious manner, while I've groaned 2 posts, both were joke groans for bad puns...

Because I'm so self-absorbed, I have to take some credit for how this thread evolved. But you're essentially correct w/ the above.

I wonder if it's really the longest ever on JPP; someone said that the other day, but not sure if there is a way to verify.

I think that is one of the biggest problems in the US now and to a lesser extent the UK. You can see it on here where to even mention race immediately invokes the charge of being racist, of course the first casualty of that is the truth. We had something similar a few years ago when the then Labour government allowed mass immigration from Eastern Europe and anyone that complained about it was painted racist. It was done deliberately to shut down debate and that's at the centre of what going on now, to my mind.

The Judge, the prosecutor and the 6 creepy crackers all played a part in this miscarraige of justice.

Obama? Not so much, but keep telling yourself whatever you need to.
