Let me say this as well .. I was wrong about the Democratic Party being no different than the Republican Party. I was wrong and kinda' naively stupid. You and others told me I was wrong .. but none of you ever called me stupid.

I could never do it! I make so many mistakes. I, like you, want to believe that people are basically good, I get disappointed, but sometimes my belief in people has helped them turn a corner. My house is open to people that would scare others, but they need love, too.

When you talk about the political parties do you mean certain individuals within the party or the party leadership itself?

I do indeed look for the good in people .. all people. Sometimes they turn on you, but it won't stop me from continuing to look for the good in others.

Is it OK to say that I'm fawning over you? :0)

Both.

When I was critical .. seriously critical of the Democratic party, I was talking about its leadership and democratic voters. I felt the leadership was wrong-headed and corporate bought, and its voters allowed them to get away with far too much .. still do .. but that criticism will be more muted in future because republicans will be worse.

The thought of 'stand your ground laws' all over the country sends shivers down my spine.

If you think me such a monster then put me on ignore, I might say that when your loony friend was calling me a rapist repeatedly only one of the Darla posse said anything to me privately, I won't say who it was it though. I don't want somebody to get a 3 am drunken phone call.
