Are the Bible Thumpers Losing Their Grip on Our Politics?

Why can't we all be responsible for our own souls and let others choose their own path to redemption? We are supposed to be a free society after all.

I don't need government to legislate my morality, unless that morality is hurting other living, breathing people.

Gays? Who gives a shit? Their sins are no worse than an adulterous spouse, or masturbation..Abortion? Let God decide on the punishment(if any) of the sinner.

It's real simple....I think sometimes us Christians make it much more difficult than it has to be....and some of us, if we had our way, would be no better than the Taliban in Afghanistan.

we could do that with everything.....kill your wife?.....no problem.....up to God to punish.....liberals like to say don't worry....nobody is harmed......fifty million times nobody is harmed.....

Do you ever worry that you yourself will burn in hell for all eternity for judging people erroneously? In short, you better have the log out of your own eye before you tell your brother about the speck in his.....and I seriously doubt you are without sin in your life.

Let me guess.....your sin isn't as bad as __________. Fill in the blank for yourself.

terrible guess.....I've always been taught that all sins are equal....I've always been taught that everyone sins, every hour they are awake......I've also been taught that whether you go to heaven or hell is not conditioned upon the type or quantity of your sin, but upon your acceptance of salvation......

therefore, there is no reason for me to waste my time judging anyone about anything......except perhaps ignorance posted here....

we aren't talking about divine justice....I'm talking about good old fashioned criminal court justice.....if we don't need to punish anyone for killing an unborn child, why do we need to punish someone for killing a birthed one......why do we need to punish someone for killing a teenager......

Good....I am glad you realize that. But still you judge people for doing something that is legal, but immoral.

I am an advocate for both sides of the issue coming together and finding a middle ground. I know that your position is absolute and there is no middle ground. An opinion that you are entitled to. There are pro-choice advocates every bit as extreme as you, just on the opposite end of the spectrum.....for those people, there is no middle ground either. Their opinion is every bit as valid as yours.

So, that middle ground is going to have to come from the majority....the center....and bother people like you and the hard core pro-choice folk are just going going to have to live with it.

So...let's....instead of calling each other baby killers and women haters....come together and find a solution that the majority of the people can live with.

Well you can label anybody you want as being this and currently you progressives are doing just that and have been doing it for quite some time now. This is how you isolate your enemies with this RR label and it's gotten slightly out of hand.

The definition of the term isn't logical because no one actually can identify the RR anymore except those who oppose Democratic, progressive talking points as being "them."

Any conservative group whether it be the National Rifle Association, The Kato Institute, The National Women's Forum or whoever gets the label.

No, I know exactly who they are and their influence on Washington. I know about how they take wedge issues to keep the simple minded entertained while they do their back room deal with the politicians. I also know how corporatist use these religious right to derail the real issues in this country.

It has worked, too.
