Snowden STILL a hero

Okay, I know that is your position. So, Ill ask again, since you don't make shit up.... where did you get the info that the Bush Administration only listened into conversations of Terrorists?

????....absence of any evidence to the contrary.......if you have some, shake it out.....

that case would not involve the same issues, as it states that wiretapping was of a organization in Oregon and its attorneys.......we are discussing wiretaps of overseas telephones......

We're discussing the Bush Administration's illegal surveillance of telephone calls of Americans under the TSP, which is what that lawsuit was about. And the lawsuit concerned communication of the group and its attorneys, not merely communications between them.

Dipshit.

no....we are discussing whether wiretapping the Bush administration did under FISA and later under the Patriot Act was illegal.....obviously a wiretap in Oregon is not a wiretap done under the authority of FISA......

But in the TSP they didn't do wiretapping under FISA. They decided that they didn't have to follow FISA because of the 2001 AUMF (which the Court above rejected as bullshit). Hence, the illegal warrantless surveillance of US persons.

This is like arguing with my brother's kids.

So in your brain, if there is not evidence to the contrary, nothing bad happened....?

Great... If you cant be honest in your discussion and consistent, I'm going to go back to not addressing you.

in the Oregon case, unlike the cases we've been discussing, they were held in violation of the law....because they did not do wiretapping under FISA.....

Uh, nope. We were discussing whether the Bush administration illegally listened to the communications of Americans without a warrant, which they did. I'm not sure why you felt it important to argue about it since everyone has known since at December 2005 that they did precisely that.

ah, so when you accused them of engaging in a course of action you really just meant there was just one case, which was prosecuted and closed.....now I understand......

No, the Bush Administration had a program in place through which it illegally intercepted communications of Americans without a warrant. You asked for a case in which that program was found to be illegal and I gave you one.

P.S. This is the part where a normal person would acknowledge his error.

and yet, this case wasn't part of that program.....

Right. This must have been another program also called the Terrorist Surveillance Program whereby the President authorized the NSA to intercept communications to and from the United States without a warrant and without first going to the FISA Court in violation of FISA and which the President claimed he had the authority to authorize under the 2001 Authorization to Use Military Force just like the Terrorist Surveillance Program that we've been talking about.

I'd call you a nitwit, but it's offensive to nits.

well yeah......unlike you who assumes something bad happened when there is no evidence of it......

If the government is doing it without a warrant, and in secret... Yes, I am concerned that something bad happened, unless I have evidence to the contrary.

He will simply keep spinning. Give up, You've done a very good job of illustrating who he is to anyone reading this thread.

I have no evidence to prove that the government is not killing all the people in Ohio that look human.....therefore I am concerned about the people the government has murdered in Ohio........

Isn't that the bottom line?

I'm no different from anybody else. I don't have special skills. I'm just another guy who sits there day to day in the office, watches what's happening, because even if you're not doing anything wrong you're being watched and recorded, and the storage capability of these systems increases every year consistently by orders of magnitude to where it's getting to the point where you don't have to have done anything wrong.
