San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera today filed suit against three gun accessories companies and a gun show promoter for selling disassembled high-capacity magazines in California in violation of a state law that prohibits the sale, manufacture, or import of gun ammunition feeding devices that accept more than 10 rounds. Ostensibly marketed as gun magazine "repair kits" in a barely-disguised attempt to skirt a 14-year-old California gun safety law, the disassembled equipment is intended for easy reassembly by purchasers into complete, fully functional high-capacity magazines that dramatically enhance the lethality of otherwise lawful firearms.

High-capacity magazines, which are designed to allow shooters to fire multiple rounds without stopping to reload, are a favored gun accessory among mass murderers

Hmmm, using the courts, that was what got the tobacco industry, we will see what happens with guns and bullets.

It was proven that the tobacco industry was putting in chemicals that increased the likelyhood of addiction.
Are you suggesting that guns and bullets have had something added that make them addictive?
 
Kane, you are so over the wall with your analogies it's not even funny. Ok, it is pretty funny to watch you stretch desperately to somehow say it's ok for these "gun repair kits" to create items that allow people to flout the laws.

I recommend ibuprofen if the stretching hurts too much.

Answer my question please. I've been polite and patient with you thus far. What is the purpose of the First Amendment? Also I'm saying the law itself is wrong. To break a unjust law is duty.

And I am trying to stay on topic. YOU were the one that tried to equate car shop stuff with a law that actually exists. I pointed out the fallacy in your argument. You choose not to see it. At this point, {shrug} there's nothing else to say.

Are you incapable of understanding that I want to stay on topic, and that's not the topic of the forum?

I'm not debating the 2nd amendment with you. Neither of us will change the other's position. I am willing to discuss the topic of this forum - should manufacturers who flout a state's law be prosecuted? You are unable to stick on topic. Therefore, why should I answer anything you throw at me?

You may assume whatever you want if I don't respond. I doubt it will have any connection to reality. But make up whatever stories you want to help you sleep at night.
