While I agree the Blaze is not an impartial news site .... and very much disagree on the comment that a Muslim boy would have been treated better...

I DO think "zero tolerance" in schools have gone too far. When a kid makes bread into the shape of a gun, it shouldn't be a crime.

On the other hand (I have a lot of hands) - there have been 5 yr olds who have shot other kids with guns - real guns - and killed them. Taking a cap gun to school? After taking a water pistol the day before? I'm not too surprised they questioned him. It may be a bit beyond cowboys and indians at that point. Since the mom is (supposedly) a high school teacher, she knows how seriously schools take zero tolerance these days. Hope the parents search his backpack in the future. Maybe next time he'll pick up a handgun and take it...which could have tragic consequences.

Suspension may seem harsh; on the other hand, I doubt a suspension at the age of 5 will follow this kid around like a black cloud. Remember how we all were threatened by our "permanent school record" growing up? Really wonder what was actually in them....

It wasn't meant as a "debate tactic", but who really is naive enough to think that message boards are for actual "debate"? This isn't your first message forum is it?

As for Desh, you will soon come to learn that dumb twat is an appropriate description.
 
ILA, I admit, I do try to get informed on forums I'm on and to debate the issues; at times, I've even changed my mind based on other comments. At the very least, I try not to descend to gratuitous insults although I don't always succeed in that.

But I understand this forum is different from others; I'm sure I'll learn from you and others just how insulting it can be.

Tell me, what issues have you changed your mind on from a message board?

Gratuitous insults are the norm from liberals on this site.
With a little threatening of families and children , just to spice it up!!

Responses to such abuse are viewed as unacceptable.
Particulary if a non liberal criticizes a liberal for making the initial abuse/threat.
