Adam Kokesh, Pro-Gun Activist, Calls For 'Revolutionary Army' To Demand Nationwide Se

Adam Kokesh, a pro-gun activist and libertarian radio host who attracted scrutiny earlier this month for calling his supporters to march on Washington, D.C. with illegally displayed firearms, has decided that such a demonstration isn't sufficient. In a statement released last week, Kokesh ramped up his calls for action, urging supporters to take part in a "new American revolution" at state capitols nationwide on July 4.

"This revolution has been brewing in the hearts and minds of the people for many years, but this Independence Day, it shall take a new form as the American Revolutionary Army will march on each state capital to demand that the governors of these 50 states immediately initiate the process of an orderly dissolution of the federal government through secession and reclamation of federally held property," Kokesh wrote, before appearing to suggest that there could soon be a time to trade in the calls for non-violent protest in favor of something more extreme. "Should one whole year from this July 4th pass while the crimes of this government are allowed to continue, we may have passed the point at which non-violent revolution becomes impossible."

He later read the manifesto on his radio program, after being released from jail. He had been held after an arrest on charges of assaulting a federal officer at a marijuana rally earlier this month. In a Facebook post, Kokesh claimed to have had the charges reduced to citations before being discharged from jail.

Kokesh's statement continued, suggesting that the time for solving problems through "democratic means" has passed.

“While there is risk in drastic action, the greater danger lies in allowing this government to continue unchallenged," he said. "So if you are content with the status quo, stay home, get fat, watch the fireworks from a safe distance, and allow this Independence Day to pass like any other. But if you see as we see, and feel as we feel, we will see you on the front lines of freedom on July 4th, 2013 for this, The Final American Revolution.”

Kokesh has since taken to the fringe, anti-government radio circuit to promote his new event. As Media Matters reports, he discussed his plans with Pete Santilli, the host who recently drew Secret Service attention for comments about wanting to shoot Hillary Clinton "in the vagina." Kokesh also appeared this week on the radio program of renowned conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, where he noted that individual demonstrators could decide for themselves whether they wanted to carry weapons during the march.

I know this guy personally. Well, I knew him. For several years. I can't tell you how hot this guy is. His politics were always a bit different than mine, but I'm sad to see he's gone bats now. He was a hottie big time when I knew him. That was circa 06, 07. Oh well. I just checked and the winter soldier hearings that I covered as a reporter for a blog, were in march of 08. And that is when I got to know him much better. Wow, it seems so long ago I thought it was 04 originally. It's like another life to me now. This brought back a lot of memories and made me really sad, I heard he had gone off but I had no idea how badly. I just did some looking around. That is too bad.

I'll pass.

Gives a whole new meaning to "gun nut".

Take my word for it, the guy was very handsome with a killer bod. Finding the worse pic ever taken of someone and claiming it represents them doesn't tell you anything seriously.

What is sad is someone gives this guy a microphone and a platform to spew this hate.

You know, it's sad what happened him to in Iraq too though. I don't know. I was devastated by those hearings but then one of my gf's, also in the peace movement, had no sympathy for them saying they were pieces of shit who did terrible things and then came here and expected sympathy and that the only people she felt sorry for were their victims. There's two way of looking at it. At times I've looked at it that way, it all depends on exactly what happened. His particular story was in between. I could look at it two ways. I am not sure.

when I say this, i'm not saying it TO you, or in any negative or positive way. People just don't get the position that the average soldier or marine are placed in, especially in combat. non military people are quite fond of talking about following orders or not following unjust orders, but any soldier or marine that refuses to obey an order that they consider unjust, is going to be run through more hell than they would by simply following the order, no matter the moral hell it puts them through. it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation.

Well it's evident that you have mixed feelings about him.

Have the terrorists finally succeeded in destroying the USA. Now even the Nationalists don't love the USA anymore. Or will they go back to loving it when we get a republican president?

I found those pics too. He was, at one time, hawt. Not as hawt as jb, mind you, but hawt.

He's a testament to the neglect given daily to veterans returning without proper psychiatric care returning from the wars.

Which is why it is so very abhortant to send people to war on a mountain of lies.

please make you party stop doing this

I don't think you can really call him a domestic terrorist at this point do you? Also he never hated liberals.

What would you call someone who calls for:
