Lastly, there is NO scenario where you have EVER paid $35,000 in federal income taxes at your current income. But, fuck it, lets play along shall we? Based on that number, you think you should pay 31.8% in federal income taxes. Lets round up to 32% to make it easy math.
So let's add it all up
Federal Income Tax = $35,000
Social Security Tax = $6,820
Medicare Tax = $1,595
PA State Tax = $6,600
Total = $50,015 in taxes
That leaves you with a grand total of $110,000 - $50,015 = $59,985 per left over or $4,998/month
OK. Why don't you voluntarily send that money in?

First, I think that taxing income directly via an income tax is immoral. I advocate a national sales tax.
That being said, since we are stuck with the system we have. The federal income tax rate should not be higher than 15% for ANY person regardless of income and that includes myself. See how easy that is?
as for your tanks question, again it is a faulty premise in that I have never said "defense spending is off limits". If you paid the fuck attention, you would know that I have said repeatedly that we should stop defending Europe from the big bad USSR. I would pull all of our troops out of Europe and Korea. I would pull them home from Afghanistan and Iraq and any other country we have them stationed. If we don't need the tanks, scrap the bitches. BOOM! Another post blows up in your face.

The only reason I know how much you make is because you have broadcast it here on many equations. I purposely kept it at percentages because what someone earns is their own business. Of course I understand the distinction... My answer stands.... How much I might be willing to see my effective tax rate rise would depend entirely on what sort of positive effect that rise would create for me and for my country. Why is THAT so hard for you to comprehend? Nobody likes to see their tax dollars pissed away, regardless of what percentage they pay. Some of us would be very willing to pay more, depending upon the utilization of the increase.
And dialing back on the gratuitous insults might be helpful.

My parents did teach me that lesson, but once I was grown I decided it was horse shit.
Don't brag about what you earn, but sharing information is helpful to yourself and others. A free exchange of that type of info brings it out of the dark and people have a better idea of how the world works.
